There are days when all you want to do is lay on the soft dewy grass on a starry night, but then, there are those days where that is all you can do. Yes, can being the operative word there. Scott Fitzgerald was trying to deliver to the readers of The Great Gatsby. Is the point befitting for today’s time. It’s funny because Myrtle would leave George in a heartbeat for Tom, but he would not do the same for her mainly because she doesn’t meet her standards. Myrtle is a prime example of people that are corrupt by money, selfishness’s, and stupidity.
