Day 8: A Journalist’s Journey to Jordan | A'Broad in Amman

https://abroadinamman.wordpress.com/2009/06/15/day-8-a-journalist’s-journey-to-jordan

A'Broad in Amman. 8230;A Journalist's Journey to Jordan. Day 8: A Journalist’s Journey to Jordan. The last morning in Jordan was a hectic mess. I woke up to the sound of my alarm, skyped with my mom, and then ran out the door with my passport in hand and suitcases ready to go. The 12 and a half hour flight back to the United States was not fun, to say the least, but the good company of my trip-mates, a couple glasses of wine, and several slightly mindless movies made it all a little better. I was there f...

Day 6: 800 Steps of Sightseeing | A'Broad in Amman

https://abroadinamman.wordpress.com/2009/06/12/day-6-800-steps-of-sightseeing

A'Broad in Amman. 8230;A Journalist's Journey to Jordan. Day 6: 800 Steps of Sightseeing. The next couple days marked a significant change in our press trip, where we became journalists who looked and felt rather than took notes. There were no more briefings or official meetings. This was our chance to get to now the country for ourselves, not through the eyes of officials or their official stance on the country’s issues. Horse and carriage at the entrance to Petra. We walked along the entrance to the go...

Day 7: Last Day in Jordan | A'Broad in Amman

https://abroadinamman.wordpress.com/2009/06/12/day-7-last-day-in-jordan

A'Broad in Amman. 8230;A Journalist's Journey to Jordan. Day 7: Last Day in Jordan. Cracked soil near the Jordan River. The thin Jordan River. We then stopped by the Jordan River, which was quite the sad sight to see. After hearing, during our many briefings, about Jordan’s water problem, seeing the depleted river right at our feet with the cracked dry ground around it was a testament to everything we had heard. If that’s the case, however, I can say with certainty that I have chosen the right career path.

Foreign policy nerd, recovering journalist, klutz. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. November 16, 2012. When I traveled to Jordan on a press trip in 2009, just after I had graduated from college, I wrote. That I hope someday, in the future, when my journalism career takes off, I’ll be able to once again tell the customs officer at the airport that I’m traveling for business. Well, here I am. 1) I have to keep my chopsticks placed on the chopstick holder whenever I am not using them.

Abroad in New York?

Abroad in New York? The chronicle of an ex-expat in New York. Saturday, May 31, 2014. I'm going to blame Twitter and the end of Google Reader for the lack of posts on this blog. And also grad school. Jeremy's Amsterdam Journal. Well I’m finally home and settled. Although it seemed like a dream that came and went, I’ll never forget my time in Amsterdam though. Everyone always asks me, “How was it? Now he rides his steamboat from Spain (impossible) with his white horse Americo and his helpers Zwarte Pieten (literally, Black Petes). Yeah he has little black helpers…. Abroad In Australia | Discovering My Adventures Down Under

Discovering My Adventures Down Under. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Two Years. [Take Me Back]. February 24, 2014. 2 years ago on my first Sydney Harbour boat cruise. It’s officially been over two years since I settled in Sydney. It’s hard to believe really. The constant dreams I have of adventuring back to Australia still tease me in my sleep, only for me to wake up realizing I’m in the cornfield of Illinois instead. I did a post entitled “ City Soulmate. Back in September my friend...
