While we dreamed of an early spring arriving, we had no such luck. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that the dreary snow melts soon and spring truly arrives. Spicy, Sauteed Chickpeas, Beef and Cilantro. Posted by A Crafty Mom. Sunday, March 3, 2013. Menu Plan for Week of March 5, 2013. Tortellini with Pasta Sauce, Salad. And Roasted Brussels Sprouts. Sunday, January 30, 2011. Menu Plan for January 30, 2011. We had the crockpot chili last week and it was a huge hit with all of us. I wasn't able to fit in the Indian Curry last week, so I'm making it tonight and am hoping we have loads of leftovers! Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (freezer). Posted by A Crafty Mom. A Crafty Mom Eats: Menu Plan for January 23, 2011

http://acraftymomeats.blogspot.com/2011/01/menu-plan-for-january-23-2011.html

Sunday, January 23, 2011. Menu Plan for January 23, 2011. Back to menu planning after another extended absence. I am continually reminded that menu planning and prepping ahead of time is the key to our family's success on weeknights. I've made a goal to use my crockpot at least twice a week for the next little while, especially while we are all busy at suppertime and the weather is so cold. I bought Stephanie O'Dea's "Make it Fast, Cook it Slow". Omelets with Stir Fried Veggies, Salad. April 25, 2013 at ...

A Crafty Mom Eats: Menu Plan: Week of March 18, 2012

http://acraftymomeats.blogspot.com/2012/03/menu-plan-week-of-march-18-2012.html

Friday, March 16, 2012. Menu Plan: Week of March 18, 2012. Why, yes, it HAS. Been ages since I've posted anything on this blog. Time is something of which I have very little, and thus blogging, cooking, and eating healthy have become a thing of the past. I've decided to attempt. To put a stop to all this. My short term goal is to plan, prepare, and eat three healthy meals a day. As part of this I am going to better incorporate the foods in my weekly harvest box from Life Organic. Lemon Garlic Green Beans.

A Crafty Mom Eats: August 2010

http://acraftymomeats.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 30, 2010. Menu Plan for Week of August 30, 2010. The results are in . . . and we did pretty well this week. Menu planning definitely helped life run smoother this week, although supper time is still rushed and busy. I can't imagine any way to change that right now, with three young children and two adults working full time. I was only working mornings last week, and even that was a big change for all of us. Chicken Tenders with Creamy Honey Mustard. Pesto Cheese and Turkey Sandwiches.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!: My Little Dancer

http://abcdugganfamily.blogspot.com/2010/09/my-little-dancer.html

Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Today Landry went to her first dance class! I signed her up for the Pre-Ballet class at Lisa's Dance Connection. It's for 2-3 year olds. This past May, when we went to Bethany's recital, I saw the Pre-Ballet class perform and just knew Landry needed to be on that stage next time! Of course, since her sister dances, she wants to do it, too. Sowhen I told her she was going to get to go to dance class, she was beside herself with glee! Landry stood on her star. Sat on her star.

Well, she's finally branched out. She'll eat bananas, pears, peaches, applesauce, sweet potatoes and squash. We are working on green veggies! The things she will eat, though, she LOVES! Here are some pics of her signing "more" 2 nights ago. And now for a shameless plug. Sunday, September 21, 2008. We made a MESS! This morning...

A Crafty Mom's Blog: July 2009

http://acraftymomsblog.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 12, 2009. You all may have noticed that I have been ridden with another case of "neglectful blogging". While extremely rewarding and a fabulous release for creative energy, blogging is also immensely time-consuming. And while often that is exactly how I choose to spend the very little free time I have, lately I have been choosing to keep myself busy in other, more relaxing and self-reflective ways. A Crafty Mom's Blog: Easy Woodcut Art Activity

http://acraftymomsblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/easy-woodcut-art-activity.html

Monday, January 24, 2011. Easy Woodcut Art Activity. My grade five class recently read the book "Riding the Tiger". By Eve Bunting. The book is a rich and powerful allegorical story of the allure of the gang. The story is beautifully illustrated with hand-carved woodcut art by illustrator David Frampton. After doing some research, I came across some simple directions to create woodcut art in the classroom using styrofoam plates. Those lines pick up the ink and the part colored in with pencil will not.

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. One a Day Keeps the Doctor Away. We gathered up our 3 Things a couple weekends ago and headed south to the ever-popular Mountain Orchards. To pick and gather ourselves some juicy, sweet apples. We made the trip with our friends (who also happen to be our neighbours . . . how cool is that? Thing 3 had a very bad habit of taking one bite and then throwing the rest of the apple in the bag. She's kinda too cute to stay angry with for long. Is famous for their apple cider donuts...
