a crafty scheme: The Beginning of my Quilting Craze

http://acraftyscheme.blogspot.com/2011/04/beginning-of-my-quilting-craze.html

My Slightly Gourmet Recipes. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. The Beginning of my Quilting Craze. As I said yesterday, I finished my first quilt! I'm so excited.and addicted. After I bought my new sewing machine, I knew I for sure wanted to begin quilting right away, but I didn't know that much about it. I would be learning as I go. So, I used a very simple YouTube video from the Missouri Star Quilt Company. To help me finish! Great customer service and I will definitely be buying from them again! Its like a r...

http://acraftyscheme.blogspot.com/2011/03/framed-initial.html

My Slightly Gourmet Recipes. Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Here's my latest Goodwill make over. I found this awful picture buried beneath junk at Goodwill. Yes, that's right.I dig through junk at Goodwill. Only because I find treasures like this.I'm in love with the oval frame! It was originally a gold plastic hideous flaky mess. I'm so mad at myself for not taking a "before" photo. I took pictures of everything except this. And here it is with the matching wreath. March 4, 2011 at 9:59 AM.

Slightly Gourmet: March 2010

http://slightlygourmet.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

My Slightly Gourmet Recipes. Monday, March 8, 2010. Ooey-Gooey Chocolate Butter Cookies. I've been in search of a unique yet delicious cookie recipe. With Google and a little improvisation and changes of my own.this is it! And they are every bit as delicious as their name makes them sound. The ingredients are super simple and probably things you have on hand. They're probably the easiest cookies I've ever made! Aside from "slice and bake".). 1 chocolate cake mix (I used Devil's Food). 3 Mix in cake mix.

To Suit Your Taste!: Sweet Dreams Quilt

http://suityourtaste.blogspot.com/2011/04/sweet-dreams-quilt.html

Thursday, April 28, 2011. When our oldest daughter. Became engaged, I decided to start a family tradition of the wedding quilt. I got this idea sort of from my grandmother who had made enough quilts (each one entirely HAND-QUILTED! For each of her children and grandchildren and had them set aside in her quilt box. This came to a total of sixteen (! Well, we only have two. I decided upon the Sweet Dreams pattern. And watched someone using the SewSlip. Why, it would practically sew the quilt by itself!

Slightly Gourmet: July 2011

http://slightlygourmet.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

My Slightly Gourmet Recipes. Monday, July 4, 2011. Nothing Says Happy 4th of July like Apple Pie! 235 years ago today, the Continental Congress announced their separation from England and thus began the history of our great country. How better to celebrate our freedom than with apple pie? Here's a recipe adapted from Annie Eats. That would even please Johnny Appleseed! First, start out by making your pie dough (my favorite part of any pie). If you have a food processor, this is a cinch! Juice from one me...

Slightly Gourmet: February 2011

http://slightlygourmet.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

My Slightly Gourmet Recipes. Saturday, February 26, 2011. This is Justin's new favorite dinner. He requests it at least once a week, if not more. It's just as easy as my oven-fried chicken and equally as tasty. Which is good for me! 1 First, cut up 2 or 3 chicken breasts into 1" chunks. I like to cut my chicken when it's still ever so slightly frozen, because it just slices into much neater chunks. 3 Now, crush some corn flakes and melt about a half stick of butter. Saturday, February 12, 2011. First, I ...

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. This is probably one of the most loved recipes in our family.it has even been classified as one of my "secret" recipes. If you have ever eaten a meal with us it is very likely that you know all about this. When Randy calls and lets me know we are having friends over for dinner say in the next 45 minutes or so, the first. Thing that pops in my mind is that I'll make some beer bread! Slightly Gourmet: Fire-Roasted Stuffed Jalapenos

http://slightlygourmet.blogspot.com/2010/10/fire-roasted-stuffed-jalapeno.html

My Slightly Gourmet Recipes. Saturday, October 16, 2010. I have to begin by crediting this recipe to my uncle, David! Every time I eat jalapenos (or any pepper, for that matter) I think of my two uncles- Charlie and David- who grow the best peppers ever! Then, mix in a package of cream cheese and a few handfuls of shredded cheddar cheese. The only way to mix it thoroughly is with your fingers. So go ahead and get dirty. Now for the jalapenos. This is the best tool ever! Again, use your fingers. Don't ove...

Chocolate Chip Toffee Oatmeal Cookies. I made these cookies last week and wasn't planning on posting them for a bit. When I saw that Love and Olive Oil. Yesterday, I decided to just put it up now. I got the original recipe from my oldest cookbook The Best of Country Cooking 2003. It was a wedding present). It's a fantastic recipe (Toffee Malted Cookies) and I've only tweaked it a bit.
