http://chdpluspaoequalswtf.blogspot.com/2009/08/13-weeks-post-pao.html
Friday, August 7, 2009. 13 weeks post PAO. Well I am finally 3 months post my LPAO. Yesterday was my last day of physical therapy. In the beginning. Was a lot to bear on some days, but now I feel almost back to normal and my co-workers forget that I had a major hip surgery since I can walk around the pharmacy just as quick as they can. I have about 15 pounds to lose to get down to my pre. Surgery weight. Damn you skittles! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Diagnosed with hip dysplasia as child Pharmaci...

What Does Pain Look Like?: August 2011
http://whatdoespainlooklike.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 10 August 2011. 6 weeks, now walk. At last, 6 weeks is up! Right, now what? 6 weeks feels so long when you're on two elbow crutches. But I can now drop to one according to the letter I received from Mr. O a week out of hospital. I've been wandering around the house on one crutch and instantly I feel so liberated! Ermy leg moved outwards lol, but more importantly, I felt it in my butt where you should be feeling it. That was new! Let's get walking :o). Links to this post. It seems life threw me...

What Does Pain Look Like?: Officially bored
http://whatdoespainlooklike.blogspot.com/2011/07/officially-bored.html
Friday, 22 July 2011. It's official. I'm now bored and restless and I don't want to sit on my ass anymore! So that's been 3 weeks off work, at home, on my ass to get to this state of mind. 3 weeks. I have actually been doing some work from home so I don't feel unproductive. I can't focus on work today. It's just the lack of change of scenery! Or maybe it's too little too late? We're even going out tomorrow night for birthday celebrations and I can't shake this horrid cabin fever feeling! Periacetabular O...

The Wonky Medic: A year and a shiny new hip!
http://thewonkymedic.blogspot.com/2011/12/year-and-shiny-new-hip.html
Combined Reverse Periacetabular Osteotomy (PAO) and Open Debridement Surgery and now Total Hip Replacement too! Tuesday, 13 December 2011. A year and a shiny new hip! Well that turned out to not be the final surgery by any means. Unfortunately the groin pain returned with avengance around January 2011. After a series of steroid injections over 10 weeks with reducing benefit, I was referred to a different surgeon in the group (Mr Norton) for an arthroscopy to remove likely scar tissue. Good to read that s...

A Mother's Hip Story: First Communion
http://amothershipstory.blogspot.com/2015/04/first-communion.html
A Mother's Hip Story. Friday, April 17, 2015. Emma made her First Communion on Saturday April 11. 2015. She told me how excited she was but nervous too. It was a beautiful weather too. We scheduled her pictures at 1130am even though the mass didn't start until 1pm. But it is nice to have a good seat so I could see her. After pictures we just went over to church to save our spot. Brady served at the mass too. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Edgar Nicholas 12/5/2010 7lbs.1oz. I am a stay at home mother...

Hip To Be Square?: September 2011
http://scarlettsquarehips.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Hip To Be Square? Tuesday, September 6, 2011. I’ve been having a lot of doubts lately about the RPAO. The left side hurt before surgery. All of the time. Badly. My activities were limited. My quality of life was degraded. So it made sense to have the LPAO. To get the left hip “fixed.” And now that it’s done, I have no regrets. The constant, unbearable pain is gone. I feel. Better than before the LPAO. Than normal. I still have SI joint pain (this is a real bummer)! I'm so torn…. We go to Detroit to see Z...
