This is the garden: colours come and go (e.e. ********). Making do makes awesome. I love cooking. and i love trying new things. but i hate making umpteen trips to the store—and try as i might, i never seem to be able to get it all in one fail swoop. A lot of riffing on recipes. And a lot of trips to the store. A lot of ingredient-specific schemes. Sunday night, was an extremely rare occasion where i cooked an entire amazing meal without having to leave my house for a single ingredient. three cheers!

Simplify...: What is that?

http://simplifywithalmostparadisefarm.blogspot.com/2010/12/what-is-that.html

Our family's journey toward living and loving a simpler life! Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.". Thursday, December 30, 2010. Jason and I are quite perplexed by the appearance of this little guy, especially since we have never planted any type of squash in our garden! We're thinking zucchini, but it could quite possibly be a whole mess of things considering the variety of things we have in our seed stash. Anyone want to offer their opinion? Door Knobs and Key Holes | Cultivating Conscience

http://www.cultivatingconscience.com/2012/01/door-knobs-and-key-holes

Door Knobs and Key Holes. Lately I’ve had a bit of an obsession with door knobs. I have a weakness for vintage items in general, but something about the mystery behind a vintage door knob is so appealing to me. I’ve been collecting them for awhile, imagining the story behind each acquisition. Did some little girl squeal with excitement the very first time she could reach that knob and open the door herself? Anyway, let me show you a couple ways I’ve incorporated these knobs into my home decor:. Hello, se...

In the upcoming months, I’ll be posting about primarily indoor activities. Today has been a snowy day for Seattle and surrounding areas. Spring is still quite far away, but I’m already aching to get out in my new little garden area. So, while I sip my tea and look out at the blanket of white, I’m flipping through the Territorial Seed Company. On the menu today is a meal I’ve been eating several times a week of late. So easy, cheap and. Miso Ramen. Using this recipe. 2 cups boiling water. 2 tsp miso paste.

Day Two of the National World War II Museum. March 24, 2015. Middot; Add Comment. When we awoke on Saturday morning, we had a quick breakfast of donuts and poptarts in our room (since our hotel didn’t offer a continental breakfast, and breakfast out for 8 people gets spendy), and then decided to walk down to the Mississippi River before the museum opened. First thing in the morning is the perfect time to sight-see. No crowds. We saw cruise ships that were enormous. What is it about kids and fountains?
