Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. DIY Reusable Swiffer Pad. August 14, 2012. The year after I graduated from college, I lived in a house in Los Angeles with 6 of my friends. Yes, it was a little bit crazy. Seven women in one house, all on very different and very busy schedules. I think we managed to all have dinner together once that whole year. We had hopes that it would happen more, but life just took over. The solution for now? With a crawling baby girl who is constantly putting things ...

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. My Take on Stitch Fix. April 10, 2015. In my last quick takes post. I mentioned trying out Stitch Fix. I got a lot of questions about it so I thought I would write a post all about my experience. Prepare yourself, there are a ridiculous amount of photos of yours truly, but hopefully peeks of my baby bump and little photo bombers will make up for it. And, can I just say that the box is so dang pretty. It’s a pretty exciting package to get. Numero uno. I...

A Growing Family | We are constantly exploring and trying new things

We are constantly exploring and trying new things. April 21, 2014. My year without Starbucks : (Part One). Because this was my Starbucks. If you were just sitting there reading or working and didn’t have your earphone on that meant anyone could come over to talk to the pastor. I was open for business and looked forward to seeing how I could help those in my neighborhood. Oh pastor can we talk? Sure I don’t have my earphones on. My bold declaration to not drink Starbucks for a year was on. April 19, 2014.

This is the garden: colours come and go (e.e. cummings). Making do makes awesome. I love cooking. and i love trying new things. but i hate making umpteen trips to the store—and try as i might, i never seem to be able to get it all in one fail swoop. A lot of riffing on recipes. And a lot of trips to the store. A lot of ingredient-specific schemes. Sunday night, was an extremely rare occasion where i cooked an entire amazing meal without having to leave my house for a single ingredient. three cheers!

A Growing Hope | camping, cooking, learning, and loving our way through life

Day Two of the National World War II Museum. March 24, 2015. Middot; Add Comment. When we awoke on Saturday morning, we had a quick breakfast of donuts and poptarts in our room (since our hotel didn’t offer a continental breakfast, and breakfast out for 8 people gets spendy), and then decided to walk down to the Mississippi River before the museum opened. First thing in the morning is the perfect time to sight-see. No crowds. We saw cruise ships that were enormous. What is it about kids and fountains?
