MT Transplant: Kitchen Update
http://kathyep-pdx.blogspot.com/2012/03/kitchen-update.html
Monday, March 19, 2012. While Rick was home recuperating from knee replacement, he decided that he needed a project to keep him busy. We had been looking at some new tile and new paint, as well a new sink and such. He did a great job! The wall color is a sage green and the dining room is a lighter shade. Beginning the project meant taking down a row of tiles that were up there as a back splash and getting the walls ready for the new tile. My kitchen was pretty "tore up" for awhile but well worth it.

Girdwood - City on the Move.: Potential
http://clubgirdwood.blogspot.com/2009/12/potential.html
Girdwood - City on the Move. Tuesday, December 08, 2009. Imagine a market in which you can find every single item you are looking for, through the touch / interactivity of your shopping cart. Imagine a cart with a tom-tom GPS unit, a horn, autodrive and price checker all built-in. Why can't a shopping cart be wirelessly connected to an instore-system? Why can't they be fit with an LCD, or bluetoothed to your blackberry / iPhone / Android? I think that the Brown Jug has some upgrading to do.

::WiLd::rOOts::ALaSkA::: Farewell, Old Friend...
http://wildrootsalaska.blogspot.com/2013/10/farewell-old-friend.html
Deepening our roots in the wilds of Alaska:. Farewell, Old Friend. Creamer's Field hosted their first-ever First Friday event entitled "In Celebration of the Tree" featuring tree-themed art, which also offered people a chance to say good-bye to the tree. There are also plans through Friends of Creamer's Field. And the Boreal House. Before we arrived at the tree, I told the kids a beautiful story written by Steve (a dad from our Children of the Boreal Homeschool Co-op) which was inspired by the tree.

Deepening our roots in the wilds of Alaska:. I read back over those words, wondering what to entitle this post, and it seems as thought it should have some Spring-y title, doesn't it? Yet it is October in the Interior.and not just any old October, but the near-end of October. Where is Jack Frost? Where is King Winter? Where is the Crystal Queen? It is so strange! I told the kids that if this weather holds out, they are going to experience weather on Hallow's Eve like I did as a kid in Ohio! We stayed snu...

MT Transplant: My sister's visit and our trip to Newport
http://kathyep-pdx.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-sisters-visit-and-our-trip-to.html
Tuesday, August 17, 2010. My sister's visit and our trip to Newport. Karen went up up to the top of the lighthouse. I had done it once and didn't like the climb down so I just sucked up sun outside. This is a view of the stairs that go to the top. After the tide started to come back in, we looked behind us and our rock area was covering up already. We had a good time laughing about a sneaker wave and where we'd run to if one came - funny but serious, too. The seals and sea lions on the board walks in New...
