A Pocketful of Kimchi. Life as an English teacher in Korea. Korean Food: Doenjang jjigae (된장 찌개). December 10, 2014. Doenjang jjigae is served sizzling hot in a stone bowl along with a side of rice. This version was made with onions, zucchini, mushrooms, and tofu. I have yet to try a version with clams or any other type of meat. I also haven’t tried making it on my own yet, but I plan on doing so soon as I know this will be one of the dishes I’ll miss when I leave Korea. December 11, 2014 at 1:16 am.

A Pocketful of Kimchi. Life as an English teacher in Korea. Laquo; Korean Food: Bulgogi (불고기). February 6, 2015. I really hope to go back to Japan someday in the spring or summer. It was still beautiful in winter (despite the season, there was a lot of green foliage which reminded me somewhat of Seattle in the winter), but I imagine it to be even better when everything is in full bloom. Until then, I hope you enjoy this mass upload of photos. I was so excited to meet up with Kinsey in Japan! Conveyor bel...
Goodbye, Korea | A Pocketful of Kimchi
https://apocketfulofkimchi.com/2015/02/18/goodbye-korea
A Pocketful of Kimchi. Life as an English teacher in Korea. February 18, 2015. Today is my last day in Korea. I’m sitting at the airport on this very busy travel day (the long holiday weekend for Seollal, also known as Lunar New Year, began today), watching people come and go, wondering if their adventures are just starting or coming to an end. Did I really just spend the past year living in Korea? Did this adventure really just come to a close? Or leave a trackback: Trackback URL. Have a safe trip home!

Studies in, well, Kobe. 紅葉 – Autumn colours. December 23, 2012 by Bec. In my case i went to osaka with TRUSS (language group) and climbed up, a very crowed, hill to go leaf spotting. There you could buy fried Maple leaves. Yes leaves. They tastes fine but i think that’s down the amount of sugar they put in😄. And although it was so crowded it was beautiful and so many people were wearing pretty kimonos. Others were wearing heels.on a mountain. We judged them. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. A Day In The Life of A Dewberry!
A Day In The Life of A Dewberry! Thursday, May 7, 2009. Wow, I can't believe three months have past since my last blog. I haven't been as diligent with this blog thing as I would have liked. Renee keeps reminding me of this; if only there were eight days in a week! Although, there have been many momentous events that have taken place over these past months, I will start with my girls first sleepover. Wow! 160;To me the whole girls night was PRICELESS! A Pocketful of Mental Lint. Writing what you know. View my complete profile. Sunday, November 15, 2015. Writing what you know. The advice to writers seems to always have been "write what you know" which for some of us who view our lives as relatively unexciting or mundane is definitely demotivating. At least it always seemed that way. Writing what I know means engaging in significant self-reflection which is always an interesting exercise, even if not compelling or particularly spell-binding. A Pocketful of Miracles. ☺
A Pocketful of Miracles. 8220;Our new way of being religious may seem chaotic, as most new things do, but it coheres around certain elements: individual choice over institutional decree. Inner experience over creed; reason and evidence over. Dogma; unity and pluralism over separation and tribalism. These trends reverse centuries of religious history, and they bode well for an authentically democratic spirituality — if we continue to develop it with care. 8221; from The Huffington Post.
