My adventures in running, knitting, and life. Feb 27, 2008. I had a great run yesterday. I was a little sore from boot camp class but decided to get out there and see how it went. I did an easy 3 miles and was able to keep up a great pace despite the high winds. At least I can say I trained during really windy days. Running Knitter: A Run in the Desert
http://arunningknitter.blogspot.com/2008/05/run-in-desert.html
My adventures in running, knitting, and life. May 4, 2008. A Run in the Desert. Today I went for a run and decided to take some pics along the way . Going up the long hill. Cholla Cactus (also known as Jumping Cholla Cactus). Still going up that hill. After 1.75 miles, I finally get to the top of the hill. I went around a 4 mile loop, so of course, after going down the hill, I had to run back up to get to my goal of 5.5 miles. It was a little warm (65 degrees) but still a great run. Gotta Push For 9s.: Eugene pictures
http://gottapushfor9s.blogspot.com/2008/07/eugene-pictures.html
Saturday, July 26, 2008. Here are some long overdue pictures that were taken when me and the hubby were up in Oregon for the Eugene 1/2 Marathon back in May. We had a grand old time and leaving was definitely such sweet sorrow! It's time to pick up our packets! In front of the famous Hayward Field. We snickered at there t-shirt statements. Very clever! We walked over to the starting line from our hotel. It was only a 1/2 mile and super exciting to see the green balloons and all those people! 08/10 - ARR ...
Gotta Push For 9s.: Eugene
http://gottapushfor9s.blogspot.com/2008/05/eugene.html
Tuesday, May 6, 2008. I've been really busy lately! Lots of traveling for work had me in San Francisco and Denver recently. When I'm in the office, I've been pre-occupied with coordinating a training and getting ready to renew some grants that I hardly have a life. I ran Eugene. Not the full. I did the 1/2. I had the best time in Oregon as the hubby and I made a 5-day journey out of the whole thing. Hope to have a race report up within the week. Hey, hopefully I will finally meet you at the summer 5ks!
Gotta Push For 9s.: March 2008
http://gottapushfor9s.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2008. 12 under my belt. Total Mileage: 12 miles. I ran this morning's long run of 12 miles with little difficulty. And though some of it may be attributed to the fact that I woke up earlier and started at 7:00 am instead of 9:30 am, I definitely felt stronger and more positive. The Arizona Dragon Boat Festival. We were running in different directions so I'd meet her twice around the lake. Nice having someone else there. I don't know what else to do other than icing, massaging, and stren...
Gotta Push For 9s.: Peeking Out From Behind My Curtain
http://gottapushfor9s.blogspot.com/2008/06/peeking-out-from-behind-my-curtain.html
Sunday, June 29, 2008. Peeking Out From Behind My Curtain. Where has this girl gone for nearly two months? I turn 27 next January. My other selfish goal for picking up the pace is to burn more fat. I need to slim down in time for my first wedding anniversary at the end of August. How fast that time has come around! I just came back from work-related travel to Billings, MT last week and had a chance to go to Yellowstone National Park. Wyoming is soooo beautiful! I was wondering how you were doing! My anni...

Thursday, April 3, 2008. Tonight: 6-8 miles or bust. I'm noticing that I am not as sore as I usually was after running. It was wonderful to walk up and down the stairs pain-free at work on Monday - the day after my long run. This never happened before. My legs are so bomb! I realized yesterday that me and the hubby's trip to the Oregon Coast and to Eugene for the 1/2 marathon is only a month away! I'm so freaking excited! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Marathon Fool!: November 2007
http://onnicolesmind.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 20, 2007. My mom is in town so it's been busy. Rushing from work to her hotel, dinner, to my place, back to the hotel, back to my place, you get the picture. Tomorrow she and her boyfriend check out of the hotel and spend the rest of the trip at my place, which will make it easier. We have our Chicago Ghost Tour tonight and I'm totally psyched! I've wanted to go on this forever, but couldn't ever find anyone that would go with me! Damn that Jerry Springer! Thursday, November 15, 2007.

MISCELLANEOUS RAMBLINGS OF A SLOW POKE. Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible.". Saturday, September 27, 2008. Bumblebee, Wildebeast and a TRC Explosion! Last night as I was methodically laying out all my running gear for this morning, I got this reaction from Hubs: “ You’re not. Going to run tomorrow morning, are you? Rolling eyeballs in disbelief that he would even insinuate that I might miss a long run! The first portion of the run...

A Running Journey | Me, the road, and a pair of shoes
Photos from the Road. December 29, 2014. Running is evolution. Every run is an evolution on its own. From how it starts to how it ends. Eight frosty miles and the finisher is different than the starter. The starter has been challenged but not yet met the terms of what is in front of him. The finisher looks behind and relishes the victory of accomplishment. In between the two is where I perpetually find myself. Me, the road, and a pair of shoes. Proudly powered by WordPress.

But for now my dear runners, I have more important hills to climb and a baby girl who needs my snuggles more than the road needs my abuse- so I will rarely be posting here. And so, I offer everyone to please follow the story of our new baby girl, Adelaide, who recently was diagnosed with Achondroplasia. Lots of love,. Thank you so much.
