A runner's blog for the rest of us. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Country Music Marathon Gains Momentum. Today The Tennessean is reporting on the unanticipated growth of the Country Music Marathon. According to the article, 30,693 people registered last year (26,671 actually finished). Over 60% were from out of state. 34.19% said that the event was their first marathon or half.
