Monday, November 3, 2014. November 3rd Results: $300. Today was a pretty slow day as it is the beginning of a new month and a Monday at that. This past weekend we had cut loose our daylight savings meaning we had to put the clock back an hour. I tried to keep my size down, because I didn't want to give the market back what I had made earlier. So I reduced my share size down to 100-200 looking for quick scalps in the market. Friday, October 31, 2014. Trading Results - Happy Halloween. Profit: $651. No los...

The Aspiring Trader: September 2012

http://www.aspiringtrader.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Saturday, September 29, 2012. Why do you want to be a Day Trader? Everyone has their own reasons as to why they'd like to become a Day Trader. Is it the freedom? The potential to make X amount of dollars? The ability to be your own boss and work when you want? If 95% of traders fail, where does that leave the portion of traders who are not successful? What is the definition of successful anyways? Is it making $1000 a month? What if you only made this amount in a year? Would you be considered a failure?

The Aspiring Trader: FX Trading Account - OANDA

http://www.aspiringtrader.com/2013/02/fx-trading-account-oanda.html

Thursday, February 28, 2013. FX Trading Account - OANDA. I currently use Oanda as my platform for FX trading. They allow Micro accounts which is key for an aspiring trader. The advantage is that you can put as little as $500 to test grounds and become familiar with the mechanics of FX trading. After reviewing other FX brokers, I decided to go with Oanda and do not regret the decision. The platform is very easy to use and you will likely become familiar with it very quickly. Labels: FX Trading Account.

http://www.aspiringtrader.com/2011/11/trading-thoughts-stop-looking-for.html

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Trading Thoughts: Stop looking for reversals and follow the trend. When I first started trading FX since I opened this account, I have been learning more and more about myself through all the failing trades and all the successful trades. There are some key instances that I have almost always lost money for me:. Going against the trend by trying to catch a reversal. Trading in a consolidation that has no trend - trying to guess a break out by assumption. Generally if I follow...

The Aspiring Trader: September 2014

http://www.aspiringtrader.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Saturday, September 6, 2014. Personal Update - September 2014. It's been a while since I've touched anything blog related. If anyone is actually reading this, you probably guessed that based on the last time I posted, I likely stopped trading which I did. I allowed my emotions to really get to me last year and I ended up going back into the corporate world to 1) get my mind off of trading and 2) to get that feeling of "security" back with a stable pay check. Afterall, I'd lost more than 10K in a year.

http://www.aspiringtrader.com/2013/02/how-can-i-achieve-financial-freedom.html

Wednesday, February 27, 2013. How Can I Achieve Financial Freedom. Let's face it. Most aspiring traders are looking for the ability to work for themselves and not have to work the conventional 9-5 job. The reality is, that there is unlimited financial potential available to us. All accessible via computer and internet. Financial freedom is having the ability to generate income to take care of or exceed your general expenses required to live comfortably.
