Your lifestyle and goals are very important to me. I believe coach and athlete must have mutual trust and confidence to communicate often and freely in support of reaching and CRUSHING your goals! Lick for more information. There are many aspects of coaching that are often overlooked. I think of a coach as being a mentor. This includes helping in the areas of training, nutrition, race preparation, strength and resistance training, mental preparation and injury prevention. Lick for more information. Membe...

Sunday, September 30, 2007. In Search of Color. First there was one in search of color. And then there were others in search of color. They found what they were looking for. And that, was all that was needed for the perfect ride today. Mission accomplished. #. Posted by Michelle Grainger @ 11:00 PM 0 Comments. Hiking, Vegas, more colors, and riding. If you squint your eyes you can almost pretend you see the great colors on the Aspen trees back home. Sure ya can. Today; got up, had coffee and oatmeal, pla...

Friday, April 13, 2007. It's day 4 of Pac Tour Desert Camp's Women's Week in Sierra Vist, Arizona. This camp is for women who want to ride a lot of Spring miles and learn more about cycling. I am one of two coaches invited here to ride with the women and offer afternoon and evening lectures. We have seena pink snake and little desert wild pigs. The girlas have been wonderful and done so well. My little sister is her and has made me so proud with her smiles, laughter and riding stamina. 2007 - 2010 Michel...

Michelle Grainger: November 2008
http://blog.athleticexcellence.net/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 15, 2008. Started running this week. Hmmmm, does three entries in one day make up for the fact that I didn't write anything for a month? I started running with the Girls. Usually, we hike for about an hour all over the trails near the house. But that has become slightly boring for the Girls. Probably not, but I wanted more than a hike and so I started running and they come by default-hanging out with me. Today I was pretty slow. Although todays hike had 1200 feet of elevation gain ...

Monday, October 20, 2008. Making the Manatou Springs Incline Trail Legal. Just returned from the Olympic Training Center where USA Cycling hosted a Coaches Summit. Lots of great information (more to come on that, later) and many great speakers. Learned a lot and had an equally good time meeting new coaches and doing some great extra curricular activities. Here's a great web site for more information on the Incline. Http:/ www.inclineclub.com/incline/. Current state of the Incline:. Indeed, the Incline ha...

Monday, June 16, 2008. The search for Clay Rubano is over. Thanks to so many people. To so many friends, family and just people that wanted to help. Thanks you for finding Clay. I cannot seem to stop thinking about Clay. Could it be that I've not even started on my book. The book he said would help so many people? Could it be that we're in the middle of ripping our house apart and the last time we did that, he was here sleeping in all of the mess and helping us get through the chaos? The Fremont Country ...

Michelle Grainger: March 2008

Monday, March 17, 2008. Snow in Boulder. It just is-go and enjoy it! It snowed a lot last night. Good thing it was today, because I needed a few days off from training. Not that I can't take a day off when it's warm and sunny, but a snow day doesn't hurt and it's good for the ground, trees, and water levels. I love racing, touring and commuting. Each gave me (and gives me) something different. All good and all experiences. I love road and mountain. Never done track. I think I like moving and riding is mo...
