Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Key Lime Pound Cake. Posted by Taylor Elise. I was so excited to try it this morning when I woke up that I couldn't even wait til after I went running or to take a photo. Spring break has finally arrived and I promised myself that with spring break would come more baking. It's not that I haven't baked anything since my last actual baking post (was that the Caramel Cake in January? But just not managed to put baking photos blog post all together. I hate a dry pound cake. 2 Stir to...

Saturday, July 9, 2011. Baking Lust: Fresh Florals. Posted by Taylor Elise. I've been saving these up for a while now on Pinterest. I know edible flowers are impressive but they still don't beat the real thing in my book. This cake is pretty much perfection. And the glass cup holding the flowers? Source: weddings.theknot.com. Buttercream and Baby's Breath. Another pretty purple arrangement. Love this small cake surrounded by flowers on the glass cake plate. So rustic and pretty! View my complete profile.

.:Baking Arts:.: Day 1: Peach & Blueberry Crumbles

http://bakingarts.blogspot.com/2009/07/day-1-peach-blueberry-crumbles.html

Monday, July 6, 2009. Day 1: Peach and Blueberry Crumbles. Posted by Taylor Elise. Ina's Barefoot Contessa at Home. Was the first place I went looking for more peach recipes.  Luckily I looked in the right place first :)  . I cut the fruit recipe in half since I wasn't willing to give up that many peaches on my first recipe.  This still filled up 5 small ramekins.  I kept the crumble recipe the same and used all of it.  What can I say? Peach and Blueberry Crumbles. 2 lbs firm, ripe peaches. Day 2: Grille...

http://bakingarts.blogspot.com/2011/06/summertime.html

Monday, June 20, 2011. Posted by Taylor Elise. Thank goodness for summer because my baking time was really being compromised this school year! I'm trying to come up with a list of all I want to bake/accomplish this summer. For now this is all I've done:. Peach and Blueberry Crumbles. For Father's Day- except I made one big crumble instead of individual ones. Still just as delicious. I could eat up that crumble part forever. Oh, and I want to go to Paris. View my complete profile. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies. Posted by Taylor Elise. Everytime I see a recipe including Nutella I save it. Who knows how many Nutella recipes I have stashed away somewhere on my computer (mostly starred from various blogs). However, after seeing this one yesterday afternoon I knew I had to make this cookie ASAP. The super cute paper doily was purchased at Bake it Pretty. In Asheville, NC. Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies. Adapted from Tracey's Culinary Adventures. With the mixer o...

Monday, April 26, 2010. Bet you won't guess what this is! Adventure. Perfect for the bridal shower I attended yesterday. 20 oz crushed pineapple. 2 eggs, beaten. Mix all ingredients and spread in 1.5 quart dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 ° for 1 hour. The only change I would make is a dash of cinnamon in the mix itself. Maybe a little more on top. I mean really, how can you go wrong with cinnamon flavor? Ma'am in the Making. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ma'am in the Making.

Ma'am in the Making: June 2009

http://maaminthemaking.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I had the kind of weekend that would make a guy cringe. Friday, my sister, mom, mom's friend, and I all ventured to Charlotte for Phantom of the Opera! I'd heard wonderful reviews already and was not disappointed. I finished up the weekend with the ultimate guy repellent - a baby shower! My sister and her friends hosted a jungle-themed shower for their friend, who is expecting a little boy in August. There I gorged myself on cheesecake bites and homemade (by my Grandma) mints.

Ma'am in the Making: Girls Gone Wild

http://maaminthemaking.blogspot.com/2010/03/girls-gone-wild.html

Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Well, my spring break has been craaaaazy. So far I have gone to the science museum with four of my younger cousins, attended an eight-year old's Spongebob-themed birthday party, saw The Blind Side (finally! It was as good as I had anticipated.), and visited my old office where I interned this summer (and somehow ended up sitting through a meeting with the Chamber). Hmmm I'm just hoping this isn't some kind of prophecy. Ma'am in the Making. March 17, 2010 at 7:32 PM. Fleur de Se...

Ma'am in the Making: Ta da!

Saturday, March 20, 2010. I have a reputation when it comes to layer cakes. And it's not a good one. So when I stepped into the kitchen to tackle mom's birthday cake yesterday, I was a little apprehensive. I had my taste buds set on the Pioneer Woman's "Coffee Cake. Literally.". As the title indicates, this is literally a coffee-flavored cake (not one of those coffee cakes you pass off as appropriate for breakfast). I only made a few very minor changes. 1 1/2 cups Sugar. 188; teaspoons Salt. Once butter ...

Sourdough baking inspired by Chad Robertson and Ken Forkish. Apr 26, 2014. Ken Forkish's Overnight Country Brown with Sesame Seeds. This time, I tried an adaptation of Ken Forkish's. Flour Water Salt Yeast. Book It worked pretty well. When I scored the loaf, there was a big air hole at one end of the slash. I thought that the air hole might deflate the loaf, but the hole was closed naturally while baking, so it was fine in the end with fairly good oven spring.
