Sunday, January 1, 2012. Jewelry Board and Magazine Cross. After finally giving in and taking a peek at Pinterest, my creative juices have been flowing like crazy! I was given several new necklaces for Christmas and my birthday, so I decided I needed a better way to organize them than my little jewelry box. I found a $5 cork board at Target. It already had a black frame. I covered it with some scrapbook paper (stapled on so I can change it if I want to! It turned out really fun! I love all the colors!

Monday, June 18, 2012. NASCAR and Father's Day. Today, we traveled up to Brooklyn, MI with my dad for the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway. It was our birthday/father's day gift for him! This was the view from our seats in turn 3. My favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson #48, had a decent day after starting near the back. He finished 5th! There were some good wrecks, and Joey Logano #20, was one of the unfortunate participants. Everyone was quite excited for him! July 4, 2012 at 6:13 AM.

Thornhills in Every Season. Stuffing mix, potatoes, carrots, bell. Peppers, rolls, canned green beans, corn and cranberry sauce. About the only things I had to get were gravy, an onion, sparkling cider and a bag for the turkey! This was my first turkey, and initially I was pretty intimidated, but it turned out to be very easy! Completed my collection of Harry Potter DVDs. I got David a long-overdue disc golf bag with disc, Iron Man and some Starbucks "Christmas Blend" coffee. It was a very good day =).

Sunday, November 13, 2011. Peace Valley Nature Center 11-12-11. We're in Pennsylvania, visiting Roy's family for DTS's reading week. We decided to enjoy the sunny, cool weather and go to a nearby lake. The nature center had a bird blind, so we sat for awhile and enjoyed the antics of a few of our favorite birds!
