Sunday, March 4, 2012. Sad to say goodbye, Hawaii! This week has gone by so quickly and it is true, that once you come to the islands you do not wish to leave! I want to thank each of the RYE Florida students, as well as our RYE students from New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. HAWAII EXPEDITION 2011
April 2- April 9 2011. April 8, 2011 Snorkeling, Diamond Head and Luau. OUR LAST FULL DAY IN HAWAII! As always our breakfast is super. The fruit bowl was a favorite! And of course always drank plenty of coffee. Today we had the two activities we did the other day. Some of us went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay and the others went on a hike up Diamond Head! The day started out overcast and even rainy! Some of us lucky students got to see sea turtles coming to the reef to eat! It was seriously a perfect day!

June 12 - 25th, 2011. Sunday, June 26, 2011. Day 13 - Looking Back. 50 people, most who had not met each other before, together for 14 days. This may seem like an interesting dynamic. Well, let me say, the dynamic was great. My name is Ron Van Der Pol, and I had the privilege of coordinating and leading 46 students, our monitor, Dawn Habada, our chaperone, Karen Maduschke, and our bus driver, Bryan Collins on our Belo West Coast Tour. There were simply too many awesome memories to share in one blog post.
