Using Arduino and Processing, 4 players control fish which must eat to stay alive. As a fish eats one of 3 food items, it will grow and change depending on the type. Some food items make fish wider, some make them longer and a third gives them spikes with which they can cause damage to other fish. 01 March 2010 12:45 PM 1 Comment. 04 November 2009 10:19 PM No Comments. 08 October 2009 9:27 PM No Comments. 10 March 2008 2:53 AM No Comments.

The Picture Makin' Factory. Various Musings in Art by Ethan Scheu. Saturday, November 14, 2009. If xNormal was a woman I would marry it. Ok so I have all of my Uv's layed out and I just did a test render of the normal map I baked using xNormal and here is the result as seen in the preview window. I am very pleased by the results, (although I can seethe flaws in my sculpt very explicitly now) especially when I was expecting complete failure. Great job xNormal, pat yourself on the back.

Chimera Update | Blake Maloof Projects

A Game Design Blog. Time Travel & Narrative. Project Mendel →. May 8, 2011. I recently fixed up the Chimera prototype I started in college with embedded fonts and tutorial boxes to explain how to play the game. It’s still a very rough prototype, particularly in the combat which I find extremely boring. I have plans for an improved combat system, but I’m not sure when I will get to actually implementing it. Right now I’ve begun to redirect my focus to the genetics simulation. Filed under Project Chimera.

I don’t mean a dozen krispy kremes on my gut with my feet up and the remote in my hand. I mean waking up and way over thinking when and where I was going to eat next. Check But a long road ahead.

Blake Maloof Projects | A Game Design Blog
A Game Design Blog. May 28, 2011. I recently decided to try a new experiment in genetic simulation that would allow me to prototype different concepts of genetics and crossbreeding. Over a few nights I put together a processing sketch using the Recursive Tree. Script as a starting point. Because plants are much more simple than creature, they can easily be drawn by a computer program, given a set of parameters, and produce a wide variety of forms. May 8, 2011.
