Monday, January 30, 2012. American Sour Beer aka Lambic progress report. I have 3 different batches going right now that were fermented with 3 different "yeasts" from different bottles of funky beers. I have Jolly Pumpkin, Russian River and Oud Beersel.the Russian River and Jolly Pumpkin are 6 months old and i wanted to get them out of their plastic buckets because that lets too much oxygen through and can give some vinegary notes to the beer.
