Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Photos of my Tile -Final Constructs. In this iteration of the tile I wanted to take the rotational form of the original tile and extend it in the z direction in order to capture more space. I felt the first tile was somewhat flat in its physical construct. Monday, March 2, 2009. This is one of my previous attempts. Here is a second version of the matrix study. In this attempt I took two different portions of the hood bumper area and played with reversing the direction of the curve.

Tuesday, April 21, 2009. These are a series of process images that illustrate the direction I'm headed. All allude to the potential of the artifact, seen at the top right of each image in perspective. The third frame illustrates the "hulls" of the line, which could in itself become an interesting diagram for the final sequence. It further abstracts the line I created with control vertices. Something I've been wrestling with is how should these new diagrams function? Monday, April 20, 2009. I focused (mos...

Tuesday, February 24, 2009. This series is the result of a second 03 x 06 matrical study. Each row went through a single (either scale or shear) deformation in a single direction. Surfaces in the final row were rotated 30 degrees and scaled on the y-axis. For this analysis, the transformations have occurred surficially without separating and manipulating the components (vertices, faces) of the original. Monday, February 23, 2009. Saturday, February 21, 2009. Tuesday, February 17, 2009. These drawings are...

Tuesday, March 24, 2009. A few last thoughts. This is the second go at the tile, first one that went through the printer. the base is nice and sturdy, but the rest did not quite work out. Monday, March 23, 2009. Finally.a tile that works. I decided to leave the overhanging pieces on, only because this is the only possible way to print it. after its made i will decide whether to cut/sand the edges off or leave it as is. Monday, March 2, 2009. Line to surface patterned tile. The problem with this first att...

Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Finally My Film Analysis Diagram. The Film –. City of God, directed by Fernando Meirelles, scene - “The Beginning of the End”. The Process –. The red lines on the left are the position of the camera and its focal point relative to the central object of the filmic space. Behind that, the gray area depicts the intensity of the screen relative to the camera duration and the filmic time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 2a – Animation. View my complete profile.

Sunday, March 22, 2009. Friday, March 20, 2009. Row 1: topmost longitudinal hull translated by .1 in y-direction. Row 2: bottommost " ". Row 3: top and bottom hulls rotated 5 degrees about z. Row 4: " " about y. Row 5: top hull scaled by .1 in x. Row 6: bottom hull scaled by .1 in x. Another of the fields in the z-direction scales the bottom three hulls of each object by .1 in the x-direction. The other field scales the middle three longitudinal hulls by .1 in the x-direction.
