She would have a nice new lemans seat already painted white and be a bitchen little bike. Instead, she’s just a bitch. Here is my amazing[ly bad] photoshoped paint job:. In any case, her future is still unknown as the carbs are yet to be rebuilt and the next post describes further problems.

Only problem is, they still f’ing leak and I’m pissed. Here is some background on why:. Call them back 4 days later. “Can I come pick up the carbs? 8221;, “No”. I said “I’ll let you call me when they’re done, cheers! Same symptom, they leak from the bowls and leak out of the air intake. $350 down the drain.

Attempts to use an EZ out failed exponentially (getting the EX out stuck in the cylinder head too). Laser out the parts and heli-coil new threads: About $50 all said and done. Replace the whole cylinder head: about $50 on ebay, shipped. I chose to order a new cylinder head and it’s already arrived (hooray internet).

In keeping with the theme of working on the front end, it’s time to cross drill the rotor. Everyone seems to agree that you get much better performance with a cross drilled rotor, most notably when it’s raining. I was originally planning on sending the rotor out to be drilled, but what fun is that? I downloaded a drilling template. The drilling template layed out on the brake rotor.
