Over the last few days we have been discussing our ideas, at the moment we have a Jekyll and Hyde character interacting with a steam powered victorian-esque environment. This organic chemical kinda of 'drink a potion and your cured' could be replaced by something more mechanical. Instead of a monster we could have someone in a steam powered suit. This has started out alright, but needs to be perfect as at the moment its a main point in the story (when the guy knocks over a broom and it lands on the piano key to make an unwanted noise.). Been Messin round with Dynamics. like gravity etc. In the story board we were talking about smashing glasses etc. This was done using gravity and simulation, but speaking to Jared, he said it would be good to use for keyframe references, delete the gravuty and then animate it using normal keyframes. Joshua Collinson - CVA 201. I've learnt a lot this project, and feel i have to remind myself in future projects to:. Get your plans sorted before you do anything else. Dont take too much time. Decide on one idea and stick to it completely. Make sure everyone knows whats going on and what they have to do. I know this isnt good and I am quite dissapointed, but ultimatly its my fault. Haha as the file I am rendering is 200 mb! Saying that though, its all done now. Finally rendered. We had another sdit down ...

Tuesday, 6 November 2007. Here are some of the houses I modelled. To go into our scene, I had slight problems with the tiles on the roof as they slowed down Maya. Really bad when they got duplicated in the scene. I tried to reduced the poly count on the tiles but things still didn't. Work out and kept crashing Maya. So i decided to drop the modelled. Tiles and to have it as a texture instead. This would speed up the process when moving. And the render time. All Me Me Me. View my complete profile.
