Saturday, May 30, 2009. The start boat decided to drop anchor right on the shallow spot from last week so the start was delayed until we could direct them to a more suitble location. First three races over and the competition is close. After a great start we led most of the first race only to surrender the lead to op on the last kite drop due to a fouled halyard on the drop and then forgetting to remove the short sheet . Friday, June 26, 2009. The race has again been cancelled for tomorrow because apparently the Weather is supposed to be bad. Sunday, June 21, 2009. Winter inshore race 3. Postponed due to 30 knots forecast :o(. Sunday, June 14, 2009. Results as expected in order of handicap especially in YAH. OP had line honours and we managed a second over the line but well out of contention on handicap. That makes OP5 -4 up on us but who is counting. Sunday, June 7, 2009. Winter Inshore Race 2. Saturday, July 25, 2009. Valmadre Race 4 25 July. A wonderful day on the water. Good breeze for a change. Clear skies but a bitterly cool breeze. Wooley hats and thermals were the common amongst the crew. Wind averaged 12-14 knots instead of the 40 knots or. A brief hiccup before the race when Tactician bugs showed off his new gadget only to realise he had forgotten the batteries and USB cable. Sunday, November 2, 2008. Naviguesser's off yacht activities. Meanwhile in between races, naviguesser and his darling wife have been keeping the nav skills in order by taking out the Mandurah time trials champion is his stink boat. Another nice little trophy. Been a big year for these! I think thats trophy number 7. Friday, February 27, 2009. 1st geograph race week 2009. Looks like tonight could be very messy! Yesterday we had a 1st and a third which pretty much said all we had to do today was start to take it out. We did better with what looks like a second over the line and another win on handicap. Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Race one down and our account has been opened, we manage a third in the YAH and a first in IRC :-). Out of six possible position in YAH and IRC the Mandurah boats took out five of them! Had a few wicked rain squalls go though the fleet, seen 28 knots on our wind indicator then it disappeared due to the increased pressure and horizontal rain :-P. Thursday, October 23, 2008. George Law 20th Sept. The george Law Race was a bit of eye opener, apparently. Unfortunately I was a no show due to a clash with winter navigation activities. Huge swells off the back of rottnest made skippers quite wide eyed as even the bigger yachts were tossed around like rubber ducks in a bathtub. Some narrative from the day:. Well that’s the GEORGE LAW FOUNDATION RACE done and dusted and what a day to be racing! Nav to Crew: Yes it does, GPS also has altititude!

Monday, August 25, 2008. WS race 4 rerun 23 August. Ho hum, Ho hum, another one we won. 1st on IRC 3rd on YAH. Great effort from Mandurah, with MOFSC gaining all podium results on IRC; 1st us, 2nd Fairy Tern, and 3rd Myrna. Crew are busilly ordering new hats as their olds one no longer fit. This make us clear winners now to take out the series. I'm not sure if anyone can beat us but will review this during the week. Wednesday, August 20, 2008. TWU takes out Valmadre Cup. Winter Series Race 6, August 16th.

Monday, January 26, 2009. Pot of Gold - The weekend that was. Well the two days of racing have wound up and the weekend ended with a mixed bag of results. Saturday saw us race around Rottnest in an anticlockwise direction out to Sorrento up to scarborough back to centaur reef and then to the finish at Hillarys. Sunday saw 3 Windward leeward courses for the IRC championship. We placed 2nd behind bad habits. Overall we took out second with 7 points behind Bad Habits with 4, congrats to them , even sailing ...
