I am always so heartbroken to hear stories of women who terminated their pregnancies based on a poor or fatal diagnosis because I know what a difficult and devastating choice that must have been to make. For some families, early induction or abortion is the right decision and I know that many choose to take this path. But for many others, CTT can be a priceless gift and a rewarding journey. Why would I recommend carrying your baby even if you have been told that he will not survive?

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. On a warm summer afternoon, I gave birth to my first child, a sweet little boy named Gabriel. Just as doctors had expected, he did not survive the day of his birth. Sadly, Gabriel never took a breath of air, but ironically, it is he who has taught me everything important about life. So, this will be attempt #2. i have a lot planned this year. i will go from being a med student to applying for residencies, interviewing, and making that big decision on where to go from here. I am currently doing my sub-internship in pediatrics and God has definitely confirmed that this is the field for me. i absolutely love it. it's such a special place in medicine and i'm so thankful that i love it.
