About Me – The Long Version. Disclosure & Policies. November 2, 2012. RACE RECAP: Nike Run To The Beat Half Marathon. Coffee is always needed before long races (and race recaps! Warning, this may be a long post as I have 21.4kms to recap! I’d recommend settling down with a nice cup of tea and a biccy… 😉. Continued from The Start of the Half. Time to get my skates on! It was the first time I had turned my Nike ‘cheers’ on though and (obviously as I came back into 3G network reception) I received four lou...

Every Day's a Picnic. Having fun with food and fitness. First Check-in of the Year. January 26, 2013. Urm … hello, Happy New Year …. Yes, I know it’s the 26. One reason that I’ve avoided posting is that I feel that my life and my focus have changed quite a lot in the past few months, especially in regards to my health and how that’s impacted on my lifestyle. At the end of last year I wrote about discovering that I have a vitamin B12 deficiency. I’m hopeful that as time goes on these symptoms will become ...

News, commentary, articles and opinions on back pain, neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs and various treatment options. with a sprinkle of controversy, humor and miscellaneous tidbits thrown in just to keep it interesting. 18 May 2009 04:28 pm. Is Microdiscectomy Right For You? I haven’t written much about surgery on this site mainly because most of the people who come here are already looking for an alternative and don’t need much convincing. That’s my story anyway, and I’m sticking to it. However, ha...

patients is a virtue: November 2006
http://patientsisavirtue.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Patients is a virtue. A description of my journey from pre-reqs to patients. Saturday, November 11, 2006. Alright, alright, so I'm neglecting this blog. I know I am, and I know that there is really no excuse however, I do have a rationalization. I'm not going to use it though. This blog is for me and I refuse to feel guilty for not writing. I'll write when I'm inspired to write and feel good about that. We've just finished the bones and muscles and my entire body hurts! Posted by MSC @ 12:51 PM.

patients is a virtue: September 2006
http://patientsisavirtue.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Patients is a virtue. A description of my journey from pre-reqs to patients. Saturday, September 30, 2006. I woke up on Thursday morning to find my TiVo had died. I was devasted. I spent what little time I had before class on the phone with the service department and the prognosis was not good. I tried a hard restart and still no dice. It was frozen on the "Welcome" screen; how ironic. It was supposed to take 6-10 days for my new box to arrive but it came THE VERY NEXT DAY. Posted by MSC @ 5:59 PM. Of Se...

patients is a virtue: August 2006
http://patientsisavirtue.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Patients is a virtue. A description of my journey from pre-reqs to patients. Thursday, August 31, 2006. I had my first A and P lab exam this past Tuesday. I had planned on studying last weekend, but due to a ridiculously long government class (0800-1700), an amazingly embarrassing bar outing, and some very complicated home issues, it completely skipped my mind. I figured I'd be able to do a little catch up and be ready by Tuesday; until I saw the test sheet. 50 blank lines! To be fair though, I should ha...

Popchips Review & Giveaway | Every Day's a Picnic
https://everydaysapicnic.wordpress.com/2013/01/29/popchips-review-giveaway
Every Day's a Picnic. Having fun with food and fitness. Popchips Review & Giveaway. January 29, 2013. Today I have a review and giveaway for you. I don’t do many product reviews in general, but occasionally I get the opportunity to review something interesting, which is why I said yes to Popchips. Popchips are different to traditional crisps in that they are neither fried nor baked, but popped instead (hence the name). This makes them lower fat, healthier and tastier (I think so anyway). Disclosure: Popc...

Posted on March 1, 2011. By Sweet Tooth Runner. HAPPY PB LOVERS DAY. I only found out about this a few hours ago through Julie’s post. Otherwise I would’ve celebrated it more. But I DID make a good effort with the little time I had. I made cinnamon-raisin peanut butter! I will officially taste-test. For me, it’s. So they were ...
