View my complete profile. Family Time and 4th of July. Thursday, September 11, 2008. End of Summer Re-Cap. Well, we are mourning the end of summer, as many are. Minnesota summers are far too short and winters far too long. So, July and August flew by - with many happenings. In July, Chris went to Moscow, Idaho for a conference on teaching in the classical approach. The school year has started and has been extremely busy, but he is enjoying it. And Micah was a good spectator. We are so grateful.

It was an incentive trip through Shaklee, our home-based business, and we didn't pay a dime for it! It was quite luxurious. We even had a balcony room! Chris has been QUITE busy. Well, I've received several constructive comments that I must update our blog, so here I finally am. This summer has been busy but very nice. Since Chris has the summer off with teaching, he has been able to work at his old company - Manor Concrete. It wouldn't be a trip to Ithaca without a morning of baking with Grandpa! This year, the boys requested making whoopie pies; Sam helped make red velvet flavored ones, and Jack helped make chocolate with peanut butter filling. They had a lot of fun and ate a lot of dough and icing throughout the process! The end results were delicious!
