Wednesday, February 5, 2014. 1 lb lean ground beef. 1 C Chopped onion. 1/2 C Chopped celery. 46 oz (almost 6 C) tomato juice. 1/2 T chili powder. 1 t fennel seed. 1/2 C uncooked barley. In medium skillet, saute the meat, onion, and celery until the meat is browned and the vegetables are translucent. Drain off excess fat. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Freeze. To serve: Thaw. Bring to boil on stove. Reduce heat, and simmer for 30 Min. OR cook in slow cooker on low for 3 hours.

Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Anna's hair is short. Not because I cut it, although that is what most people think I do. It just doesn't grow. Kiah's hair was late and slow at coming in as well, but not as slow as Anna's. I didn't realize how slow until I was looking at pictures today and realized how much shorter her hair is. She impresses me with the number of things she balances, and her willingness to put herself out there. This year Kiah decided to audition for The Music Man. She was cast as one of the town kids.
