http://computingwithoutboundaries.blogspot.com/2013/11/ignition-playback-templates.html
Manufacturing Middleware, HMI and SCADA Software Unleashed. This blog is dedicated to open, interoperable manufacturing software and the coolest, latest and greatest things I see every day while conducting business under the banner of Inductive Automation. The other day I was wondering if I could create SCADA "playback" using standard Ignition. I exported these templates to a .proj and you can download them from here. I built them in Ignition version 7.6.3. They were just a "proof of concept" and I was j...

Back then it was a standalone product called FactorySQL and was the product that bootstrapped us forward. Question. ...

Nick Mudge's Weblog: Ignition Power Tables
http://nickmudge.info/post/ignition-power-tables
Nick Mudge Ignition Software Consulting and Development. This is a guest post from Chris Powell. Recently, Inductive Automation added a new table to their list of components. The name 'Power Table' is not understated. I want to share a few of the features I have found for some of the non-programming background developers out there. Since the release of Ignition V7.7, Inductive Automation has added Extension Functions. I use this feature to highlight each individual cell on each row based on the row's val...

Wednesday, July 6, 2011. So, you have a handy method available in one of your Java classes, and you wish you could use it in your jython script? The full list of items that are available from Python 2.5 are available here: http:/ docs.python.org/release/2.5/modindex.html. In your designer hook class, just add the following code:. Monday, August 1, 2011. Exploration of 3d APIs In Java (As of August 2011). This is definitely the new kid on the block. JavaFX seems to think of itself as a superset of what Flash / Silverlight can do. You can code in pure java, and import your existing java business logic into JavaFX applications. It does run its own rendering, so you could see it as an alternative to Swing / AWT. Which brings me to. Special thanks to Erlend Sogge Heggen for corrections on the jMonkeyEngine information above. I hope th...

Thursday, 17 January 2008. Reading and writing ntfs on Mac OS X. An external hard drive always comes in handy. Most of the time, such hard drives are formatted with the FAT32 filesystem. Most of the time that works well. A big advantage is that all operating systems can read and write such a filesystem. A big disadvantage is the fact that the maximum file size is 4 GiB. That makes storing big DVD images on a FAT32 drive troublesome. 160;and NTFS-3G 1.1120-stable-catacombae.dmg. Tuesday, 15 January 2008.

Computing With Oil | Chronicling my build of a mineral oil-submerged and cooled PC.
Chronicling my build of a mineral oil-submerged and cooled PC. Stuff I’ve Learned, Vol. 3. The mineral oil PC is dead. To be clear: the PC was running just fine and would have continued to do so had I been able to properly engineer and support it. The problem wasn’t with the PC itself, though, it was with the execution of an idea. Here’s what I’ve learned:. Since I have no hood on this aquarium, sometime during the last couple of months a house fly flew/fell into the mineral oil tank and died. Now I ...
