Food from across the country...: February 2011

http://cookingcross-country.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Food from across the country. Tuesday, February 15, 2011. I saw this in the October 2010 issue of Food Network Magazine. I have experimented with a few recipes that I have found in the magazine. I haven't been disappointed, yet. This one is definitely a keeper! The carmel sauce that goes on top hardens a bit too fast, but I don't know what to do to fix it. Mom enjoys putting a slice in the microwave, heating it for a few seconds, and puts a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Monday, February 7, 2011.

Food from across the country...: March 2011

http://cookingcross-country.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Food from across the country. Friday, March 11, 2011. Chicken and Gnocchi Soup. Missy and I were talking about what we wanted to make for dinner while she's here visiting. She mentioned that she heard about a Chicken and Gnocchi Soup that she wanted to try. We didn't make the gnocchi from scratch, but if I made this soup again, I'd consider it because it would be even better. The final product was delicious! Here's the recipe and picture from copykat.com:. 1 quart half and half. 2 garlic cloves, minced.

Food from across the country...: Cheating On My Primal Diet

http://cookingcross-country.blogspot.com/2011/10/cheating-on-my-primal-diet.html

Food from across the country. Friday, October 14, 2011. Cheating On My Primal Diet. Everything that I made with Debe on our baking day was non-primal except for the Thai Red Chicken Curry before I put it over rice. I kid you not, I gained 5lbs from one cheat day. 5LBS! WARNING: DO NOT USE CURRY POWDER INSTEAD OF CURRY PASTE! They are very different things. If you do, you'll end up with something closer to yellow curry, which is AWFUL and smells like feet. Shelly's Thai Red Chicken Curry. Chile-garlic sau...

Food from across the country...: Chocolate (Coconut Milk) Shake

http://cookingcross-country.blogspot.com/2011/09/chocolate-coconut-milk-shake.html

Food from across the country. Friday, September 9, 2011. Chocolate (Coconut Milk) Shake. I was really wanting something chocolatey, but I've decided to crack down on my cheating. Here's what I ended up having for lunch today. It's pretty tasty and loaded with good fats, antioxidants and protein. Have it alongside a mixed greens salad with a vinaigrette dressing and you've got a great and filling lunch. 2 Tbsp dutch-processed cocoa powder. 2 Tbsp coconut oil. 1/2 c cold coconut milk.

when hunger strikes

Monday, August 17, 2015. Pasta in Creamy Parmesan sauce. So, as I have stated many a times,Italian is my favourite cuisine, be it pastas or soups, salads or even desserts. Its all about putting together a few quality ingredients with little love and care. This one is a fuss free, easy and quick recipe for a yummy dinner or lunch, or even as a part of a brunch spread. Ingredients are pretty simple and staple (serves 2). Pasta(any, I used farfelle) 200gm. Chicken 100 chopped into cubes. Olive oil 2 tbsp.

the cooking crowes | one couple, one cookbook, one month, for one year

One couple, one cookbook, one month, for one year. Coriander Beef and Sizzly Pork. July 18, 2007 by cookingcrowes. Beef Slivers with Coriander, page 105, Revolutionary Chinese Cooking. Stir-Fried Fava Beans with Minced Pork, page 210, 105 Revolutionary Chinese Cooking. What I am loving about this book is than nearly every meal we take on is finished in under an hour, and that includes prep work, not to mention that we usually choose two dishes, a protein and a vegetable. Oh how young and naive I was.

If you missed the last post, or maybe just forgot, here you go: https:/ cookingcrownunder.wordpress.com/2012/08/15/something-fishy-part-one/. So, what did I do with that fish? This shouldn’t take too long. This is taking forever. Which I cracke...
