http://thetwelvestepprogram.blogspot.com/2011/08/28-candles.html
Thursday, August 4, 2011. At the risk of sounding too "new-agey" (thanks, Aunt Shelley), the contentment that comes from an honest assessment of the present and the bumper sticker conclusion that life is good is like no other. It's been a really great year. Cheers! Posted by the recovering lawyer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Road Warrior: movin’ on up. Mile Markers with Kristin Armstrong. Friday, October 7, 2011. I'm in Chicago this weekend for the Chicago Marathon on Sunday. I am so excited to get away for the weekend and be surrounded by friends and family. The perfect weather is also a plus. It's been a typical taper for me - I feel like I've gained 25 pounds and I'm incredibly emotional (for some legitimate and some not-so-legitimate reasons). " Taper Madness. How heavy everything felt - how I thought nothing would never be the same. Posted by the recovering lawyer. And now the stick.

the recovering lawyer.: December 2011
http://thetwelvestepprogram.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 23, 2011. On the first day of Christmas (break). I stayed up with my parents drinking wine in front of the fireplace until 2 am (I know this doesn't rhyme with "pear tree," but I got tired of thinking about it). The equally glorious part is I got to sleep in until 11 am this morning. My dad is making potato pancakes, and I'm drinking coffee and blogging. It's really nice to be home for Christmas. The conclusion of my evaluation: It never ceases to amaze me the difference a year makes.

Thursday, February 3, 2011. Time is contagious. everybody's getting old. Today marks the end of an era. The end of a really. And my heart is heavy. I know the only thing that will make this better. Is the same thing that brought us all here in the first place. My heart hurts with the amount of growing up we're being asked to do. But I know only time will prove me wrong. the recovering lawyer.: letting the cat out of the bag
http://thetwelvestepprogram.blogspot.com/2011/04/letting-cat-out-of-bag.html
Sunday, April 24, 2011. Letting the cat out of the bag. I have a really great story about a cat and a "baaaag" (with a Wisconsin accent). but my friends tell me that I have a tendency to repeat my "really great" stories. so I might save that one for another time. Besides, because the hilarity of the story really depends on its execution in a Wisconsin accent, I'm sure it probably loses something over the Internet. Alright, I will cut to the very exciting chase: I am leaving law to go work for Cafe Well.
