My parents have a HUGE strawberry patch! And the strawberries this year are HUGE and tasty! While I was picking strawberries the other day I asked my mom what she had been doing with all her strawberries and she told me about this concoction she had made. It's a combination of 2 different recipes. It's amazing!

BBQ Pulled Pork/Beef Sandwiches. 4-6 lb. pork shoulder roast (or boneless loin) (I used a beef roast). 1 can coke, dr. pepper or root beer (no diet soda). 1 T hickory liquid smoke. Pork Rub (about 1/4 c.) (see below). 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. 1 t garlic powder. 1/2 t red pepper flakes. 1 t black pepper. 1 t mustard powder. 3 t brown sugar.

The cupcakes that we served at Ashli's graduation party were straight from a cake mix box. Nothing fancy! She wanted vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. This frosting is what we used for the strawberry cupcakes. It's pretty amazing! 16 oz cream cheese, room temperature. 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 1 cup heavy cream, very cold.

My daughters and I love it when the grocery store starts having the fresh peaches in the produce section. We love the Missouri peaches! While I don't mind eating the skin, the girls can't stand eating that fuzzy stuff! 1 1/2 cups flour. Add 2 T. milk. 1/2 cup liquid shortening. Press into pie pan. Scald and peel 6 raw peaches. Cut peaches into slices.

Back in April. These chickpea burgers are delicious! Pregnancy has brought on a major aversion to chicken, so I was excited to get a buffalo fix in another way. We didn't miss the meat with these burgers! They aren't grill friendly without a pan, so they might be the perfect lunch or dinner solution on a rainy summer day.
