Sweet Savors Catering: October 2008
http://cookingwiththepreacherswife3.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 6, 2008. A STARRY WINTER'S NIGHT. This was a another formal banquet that I catered. The theme was "A Starry Winter's Night.". I like the formal look of the black table covering, so I used it again for this dinner. I picked up pkgs of fake snow at Party City USA, and sprinkled it down the center of the tablecovering, along with some silver star confetti. The menu for the evening was:. Marinated Italian chicken w/ rice pilaf. These were the salads. We did an assembly line as we walked b...

Sweet Savors Catering: June 2008
http://cookingwiththepreacherswife3.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 26, 2008. I decorated the table area in a romantic, tropical theme. The backdrop is just white lattice work held together with wire. The back was covered with black table covering. Then I hung strands of white lights on it, and strands of tropical flowers. I set a couple of silk trees and some silk floor plants next to the edge of the lattice work. Labels: Table for Two. Thursday, June 12, 2008. The menu for the night:. Roast Beef w/ mushroom gravy. Mini carrot bundt cake w/ cream cheese i...

And Again I Say Rejoice: Be Our Guest
http://tessaburton.blogspot.com/2011/01/be-our-guest.html
Sunday, January 23, 2011. This weekend I've been pondering on this verse from Hebrews 13:2. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unaware. In this day and age we are so cautious about our safety that we tend to overlook and not even risk talking to strangers. Wouldn't it be sad though if we overlooked strangers and it was really an angel getting our offhanded manner? My dad was always friendly to strangers and I remember this growing up! And in Matthew 25:40.

Sunday, June 6, 2010. I Love My Life. I truly do love my life! We have tons and tons going on in our world right now. Some things good, like our sweet little month old neice Rebekkah Dawn being born and my baby sister Anna's beautiful wedding. Some trials too that at this point I will leave unspoken and just ask for your prayers. We finished school on the 18th of May. Aiden did really well on his end of grade testing which was a relief to me! So excited just in general that its summer! My New Mom Verse.

In Good Taste: Bacon, Tomato and Spinach Quiche
http://in-good-taste-blog.blogspot.com/2010/03/bacon-tomato-and-spinach-quiche.html
Bacon, Tomato and Spinach Quiche. This is such an easy dish to make, and it keeps easily for three days in the fridge. I make two large quiches regularly, and then cut a slice and microwave it whenever a fast meal is needed. The best thing about quiche is that it works well for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Ingredients for two quiches:. Two pie crusts, unbaked. 10 slices of cheese, american works best. 12 to 15 eggs per quiche. Four cups of spinach, fresh. One can diced, drained tomatoes (or Rotel). And a...

Cooking with the Youth Pastor's Wife: Cake Donuts with Creamy Dipping Sauce
http://cookingwiththeyouthpastorswife.blogspot.com/2009/03/cake-donuts-with-creamy-dipping-sauce.html
Cooking with the Youth Pastor's Wife. Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Cake Donuts with Creamy Dipping Sauce. My latest venture was making doughnuts from scratch. I get to make dessert for school lunch on occasion, so it was a great opportunity last week to try my hand at it, and not be left with dozens of tempting doughnuts in the house! It's quite a process, not something I'd do every week or even month, but definitely worth the effort for a "once in a blue moon" recipe! 2/3 cup sour cream. 2 tsp baking powder.
