And I and my kids planted the sprouts on the gardening ridges covered with silver mulching sheets. List of my summer vegetables:. A green eggplant, my first try. I invented a new organic method to repel aphids!

tend-her garden: Catching Up
http://tendhergarden.blogspot.com/2011/08/catching-up.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. While the storm could have done more damage, I think I am at the end of the season of taking care of the garden. Most all the tomato plants are down from the wind. The pole beans are totally toppled over. I might still get some eggplant. The squash has produced it's last healthy squash. I need to spend time drying out the basement and I go back to teaching this friday. I've added to more butternuts to my harvest total making 8. August 31, 2011 at 11:01 PM. Watch Pot Never Boils.

A Diva's Garden: June 2013
http://adivasgarden.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
A Diva Who Traded Her High Heels for a Kitchen Garden. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Here's a few of my visitors. The squirrels were the first to visit of course. They will sit and eat until they're about to explode. A peck on the window will send them away if they get too greedy. The blue jays haven't found it yet. In the second picture, they are feeding where I had the feeder originally. A cardinal and his mate have found it as well. Do you feed the birds? What backyard visitors do you get? There's conflict...

Laura Vanderbeek: February 2014
http://lauravanderbeek.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 27, 2014. I cleaned up my square foot gardens in February. I cleaned out the weeds and I raked the tops of each of my square foot gardens. I also cleaned out the remaining carrots (half eaten by voles) from the west square foot garden. I couldn't turn the soil yet, still frozen about half way down. Probably a good thing. I'm thinking of creating a wire mesh cage of some sort to keep the voles out. Any ideas? Beeks by the Lake. Labels: Little Finger Carrots. Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

Laura Vanderbeek: Getting organized for Spring Gardening
http://lauravanderbeek.blogspot.com/2014/03/getting-organized-for-spring-gardening.html
Saturday, March 08, 2014. Getting organized for Spring Gardening. Back to why I was in the basement working on my indoor garden. My whole goal was to get the laundry room clean and organized before I start pouring my efforts into the yard. Some items needed to go back where they belonged. It's been raining and so it is easier to stay and work indoors. Wonderful new or refined activities fill my life just like the organized items that went back into the drawers in my laundry room.
