Friday, November 28, 2014. The Secret of Terror Castle. Back in July I posted an ad for The Three Investigators. Our good friend Mr. C. Admitted in the comments to having never read any of the many adventures involving Bob Andrews, Pete Crenshaw, and Jupiter Jones, - which to my ears also means that he's never seen the wonderfully atmospheric illustrations each book contains as well! And there's no better place to start than with the very first Three Investigators. Tale, "The Secret of Terror Castle".

We're greasing down our fistesses right up to our wristesses as we begin winding down the Halloween in April. No one has ever taken credit for penning it, though the art is by Kelly Oechsli. Then today is you...

http://andeverythingelsetoo.blogspot.com/2015/08/hip-nip-drink-flask.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. Here's something fun I picked up the other day for $6 at an antique mall: it's a Hip-Nip. Drink flask with funny art on the bottle and a hilarious boozer head for the bottle cap- and yes, it's the perfect thing to hold my hillbilly lovin' mountain dews! Google search shows it originally came in a super neat box too, (unfortunately not included with my purchase), and some lucky folks out there might even possess Hip-Nip's. Sexy counterpart, "Hot-Nip". Produced in the 50's (?

and everything else too: My Gorey Birthday!
http://andeverythingelsetoo.blogspot.com/2015/05/my-gorey-birthday.html
Friday, May 1, 2015. My friend Sheila suggested I have a "gory" birthday today, and I thought that sounded like a splendid idea. Taking it to a more artistic level, I thought I'd share some frontispiece, interior, and cover illustrations by one of my heroes, Sir Edward Gorey. I've only just recently become aware of these great books of horror and mystery by John Bellairs. And after stumbling upon one in a used bookshop and learning that Gorey. Go-to guy for the art, I knew I needed more! May 01, 2015.
