Creating in Chaos

Monday, April 7, 2014. I'm a big fan of using tools as many ways as possible. Sometimes, there really is only one way to use them, but when you can use a stamp or ink pad in multiple ways, then that makes them so much more useful. I saw this technique on the Scor-Pal site I think and used it on a card, but then thought I'd do it on a larger scale on a scrapbook layout and I was happy with how it turned out. It filled the space which is sometimes a struggle for me. Monday, March 31, 2014. Well, I got a to...

Creating in Chaos: May 2012

http://creatinginchaos.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 26, 2012. In April, I did a demo with my friend, Sonja, at our local stamp club. It was with the Vintaj line which love! It was something totally different for me and I had a lot of fun playing. Vintaj makes these metal pieces called blanks and you can emboss and etch them with their special metal dies and then you sand off the raised areas to reveal a different finish. At any rate, I love it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A Card A Day. A Stamp in the Hand.

Creating in Chaos: Hallowe'en Paper Pack

http://creatinginchaos.blogspot.com/2014/03/halloween-paper-pack.html

Monday, March 31, 2014. I've had this Hallowe'en Paper Pack for awhile and finally got around to pulling it out last fall. I try to always order matching embellishments when I order a paper pack because it makes everything go so much quicker! Well, I got a ton of pages done using just the stuff from this pack and a couple of cut outs from my Cricut. It's amazing what you can create and it's so easy when everything matches. I think I got all of these done in less than 2 hours! Zip A Dee Doodle.

Creating in Chaos: September 2012

http://creatinginchaos.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 27, 2012. I love my boots. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. I saw a layout very similar to this in a magazine and fell in love. I knew I wanted to make it. Then I saw it again in another magazine as a reference to something and figured it was a sign to make it right then. So I did. Monday, September 24, 2012. A few years ago, I would have never done that, so I'm happy with how I've changed and let stuff go. It doesn't have to be perfect! Friday, September 21, 2012. I put the dates in bott...

Creating in Chaos: August 2012

http://creatinginchaos.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Kellycraft Get It Straight Laser Square. I've been gone. I was sick before we went camping and then last week I was trying to catch up. And as a result, stamping got put aside. In the meantime I've been checking out some of the new cool stuff that's coming out. One of the new tools is the Kellycraft Get It Straight Laser Square. At first I thought it was sort of whatever, but after watching a video (or two), I'm totally sold! I'm definitely ordering one in my next order. As a ...

Creating in Chaos: November 2012

http://creatinginchaos.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 13, 2012. I'm behind in my scrapbooking (aren't we all? So, make it easy on yourself and don't feel bad about just copying the same layout across multiple kids! The goal is to get the memories captured! Friday, November 9, 2012. So, I bought 3 composition books from the dollar store for $1.25 each and then went to the scrapbook store and bought some Disney paper and I cut a few things out of the Cricut and voila, cool Disney Journals. The Long Road Home and the Tooth Fairy gets some help… | badlycrafted

https://badlycrafted.wordpress.com/2012/05/22/the-long-road-home-and-the-tooth-fairy-gets-some-help

It's ok to craft badly as long as you're having fun! The Long Road Home and the Tooth Fairy gets some help…. So…I’ve been gone from BC for awhile. It’s been an eventful while. One very bad thing happened and I ended up going home after 7 years. Pull up a chair, this is gonna be a long one…. Backtracking a bit… Every year in the Spring we put back money (and try to use Tax Return money) for me and Than to “try” to get back to Texas to visit family/friends. It never works out. Why? Who handed me her house ...

PROJECT: Anime Box and rambling insanity | badlycrafted

https://badlycrafted.wordpress.com/2012/04/18/project-anime-box-and-rambling-insanity

It's ok to craft badly as long as you're having fun! PROJECT: Anime Box and rambling insanity. So, yeah…I suck, as in SUCK at drawing anime. I give it a shot every once in a while and it’s worse than “badly”crafted. It’s like someone gave a loaded paintbrush to one of those “smart” elephants and tries to tell you that the sloppy looking painted picture is something other than splashes of paint on a canvas. Animal Handler: “Look! Harold the Wonder Elephant just painted the Mona Lisa! Um…where was I? Anywa...

Me? A Crafter who actually SOLD STUFF? | badlycrafted

https://badlycrafted.wordpress.com/2012/07/10/me-a-crafter-who-actually-sold-stuff

It's ok to craft badly as long as you're having fun! A Crafter who actually SOLD STUFF? So yeah, the craft fair that I was a part of was ok. I made about $120.00. I have a ton of tooth fairy pillows left. Tomorrow I’ll be snapping pics and putting them up on my Etsy shop. I still can’t believe people bought my stuff. It’s hysterically funny to me. In one of those, “. Oh crap I hope they don’t get home and take a closer look at what they bought. Then Rational Jen swoops in, ‘. I mistakenly told G, ‘.

PROJECT: Before & After Flower Wall | badlycrafted

It's ok to craft badly as long as you're having fun! PROJECT: Before and After Flower Wall. Blank wall above my desk. Got the idea from this. Really great blog I found. She offered up the idea and template to readers and I went for it. I’d have loved to use paper like she did, but I only had these papers available to me. Creating a Monster…a sewing monster | badlycrafted

https://badlycrafted.wordpress.com/2012/04/05/creatingamonster

It's ok to craft badly as long as you're having fun! Creating a Monster…a sewing monster. What is this you ask? This is Than’s first creation that he, personally, sewed. Yesterday in an attempt to give him “something to do”, I decided to teach him to sew. I created a monster. He now wants to sew all.the.time. Yesterday he made three things (I’ll post pics of the other two in a minute) and told me that “I could sit here and sew all night! Here’s his last project from last night:. https://badlycrafted.wordpress.com/2012/06/04/say-hello-to-my-little-friends

It's ok to craft badly as long as you're having fun! Say Hello to my Little Friends…. After a marathon sewing session yesterday (after church/potluck), I now only have 15 more of these to make before the craft fair on 6/16! I can’t believe that I, the Undisputed Queen of Procrastination, have created 35 of these bad boys! And in other news, I wrenched my shoulder while patting myself on the back. Ok, so here’s the picture:. Fairly soon, I’ll be taking a sewing class (on the machine, even! Oh By The Way.

It's ok to craft badly as long as you're having fun! PROJECT: Tooth Fairy Pillows and other ramblings. This is my latest effort to make money for Than’s 4th Grade curriculum. I’ll be making scads of these pillows and selling them on my Etsy store and at the Used Curriculum Book Sale in June. I’m considering putting a ribbon on top for them to hang from the door, but not sure yet as ribbon is freaking expensive and I’m freaking broke. They’ve seen the work first hand. Creating in Carolina

Mums and moms love their flowers. I've taught my family "this mom" loves receiving flowers in a pot so they can continue to grow and I can also plant in the garden to enjoy the rest of the year or even next year if they are perennials. My mom was a long standing member of a community garden club so she's the one that taught me the beauty of flowers and arrangements. I'm spotlighting another Sassy Cheryl.
