From the Chaos...: Book-mad!
http://tazme.blogspot.com/2008/12/book-mad.html
Saturday, December 27, 2008. So, while the past month, or two, has served to keep me on my toes and a wee bit too tied up to write, the time has been well utilized to catch up on my reading. If there is one thing I lament, it is not having enough time to read.I sometimes get so desperate I start reading whatever is printed on juice or milk packets, or whatever comes my way! Ermif you are still in school, or college, please not to follow my example! Nowadays, with my increased traveling, I get to read in ...

From the Chaos...: Paradise Lost....and Found?
http://tazme.blogspot.com/2008/07/paradise-lostand-found.html
Monday, July 07, 2008. Paradise Lost.and Found? Faz and I spent this past weekend zipping from one part of the city to another, working our way through the innumerous To-Do lists we had. And as we tripped over uneven pavements, darted through traffic, got stuck in slow-moving jams, jumped signals (. Got jugged for illegal parking and generally got honked at by motorists who really should have known better, I couldn't help but feel like we almost found the Bangalore we had lost. Almost, but not quite.

KJ's Korean Food life: August 2009
http://koreanfoodlife.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
KJ's Korean Food life. Sunday, August 2, 2009. Bringing the Far East. After a tiring day in office in the mid-Summer of Bangladesh, I returned my humble room. The guard of my dormitory, whose wife worked as my chief, was unusually excited to present dinner. He burst into my room with the tray of goodies and proudly presented the meal that his wife labored over during the unbearably hot day in Dhaka. And pointed one plate. What is authentic German? The base of the Far East cuisine is, as you guessed, soy ...

KJ's Korean Food life: July 2010
http://koreanfoodlife.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
KJ's Korean Food life. Monday, July 26, 2010. Let's learn Korean, shall we? This is one of favourite treat: dried persimmon. This one is little more special. It is half dried and friezed. During the fall and winter, the season of dried persimmon, my Grandmother set the best looking ones aside for the ancestral ceremony. The last of it is mine. I have it with tea from its leaves. The fruit, the leaf, and even the flower is edible and much appreciated, though most commonly people would eat fruit. The commo...

KJ's Korean Food life: March 2009
http://koreanfoodlife.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
KJ's Korean Food life. Friday, March 13, 2009. Hobak Kimchi GhukBahp - pumpkin kimchi broth with rice. Ghukbahp is quite uniquely Korean: it is not exactly soup or steamed rice. This is dish usually have very deep and intensely flavored broth and is served piping hot. I suspect the reason why we have it is due to our winter. It is chill-to-the-bone cold. Sub zero gust runs down from Siberia, freezing everything in its path. Hobak kimchi (or beachu kimchi) about 1 cup 1/4 cup of water from kimchi, 1/2 cup...

From the Chaos...: Scents - Memories from Childhood
http://tazme.blogspot.com/2008/04/scents-memories-from-childhood.html
Monday, April 21, 2008. Scents - Memories from Childhood. They say that the human olfactory sense is one of the weakest in the Animal Kingdom, and yet, the sense of smell has the strongest links to human memory. A whiff of Pears soap, this morning, got me thinking about the various scents that meant something to me, because they are "placeholders" in the databank in my head. So many memories, from my growing years (which some may debate are still in force! Both good and bad:. The smell of Comfort fabric ...
