Curious in the kitchen. The ongoing kitchen adventures of a very curious cook. Thursday, October 11, 2012. I started with the wings. Drummettes- $3.89 a pound! Even the whole wings rang in at $2.49 a pound. I can remember when the butcher could barely give those scrawny appendages away. Oh well. I went with the whole wings. They are easy to break down, and the wing tips could go in my stock bag in the freezer, ready to do their thing for a nice chicken stock. And adjust until it tastes good. Crispy wings...
