Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Spike Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird". As I was rereading Mockingbird. I tried to ask the Hade questions about how we make meaning with regard to race, gender, and class. I found some of them very hard to answer. How does the author/text use race, gender, class? Lee uses all of these themes in Mockingbird. What assumptions are we bringing to the meaning based on our beliefs and experiences? Is it the same thing? What does Mockingbird say about being black, poor, or female?

I liked almost every book I was assigned in high school, so I read all of the books I was assigned. except this one. I do not think it was the diary form I disliked, because I am currently reading Dracula. Is a much more powerful book. I feel like Anne Frank. Almost everyone loved it, right?
