Miles To Go: January 2012
http://runningawayfromthegrownups.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 26 January 2012. So I'm doing this little small ultra. In March, a mere 33 miles, just a jog around the block really *cough* Actually, being very local, it kind of *is* a jog around the block and back for me, except that "the block" goes on for 16.5 miles. Anyway I have put together a wee training programme, cobbled together from various others and drawing heavily on the 50k one in Bryon Powell’s book “Relentless Forward Progress”. Links to this post. Knoxy Runs: Chasing the setting Sun up Conic Hill
http://colinknox.blogspot.com/2013/06/chasing-setting-sun-up-conic-hill.html
Friday, 28 June 2013. Chasing the setting Sun up Conic Hill. Conic Hill is about 40 minutes drive from my house, so is an obvious choice for a wee hill session. It was a fantastic day and I wanted to get to the top to see the sun dip below the hoirzon. It was good fun chasing the setting Sun, trying to get to the top before it vanished behind the Arrochar Alps. Labels: Chasing the setting Sun up Conic Hill. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Friday, 25 January 2013. My name is Colin and I have a running Problem (AKA 2012 Review). In November 2011 I looked at my race Calendar for 2012 and the result was a bit ambitious. In the early stages I planned on 10 Ultramarathons, a few Half Marathons and some of my favourite 10K events. I also wanted to run a Marathon, a 'proper' marathon, which would be my first Marathon. But like all good plans, nothing really goes to plan! Then came my second hill race at Dumyat, above Stirling University. At 5...
