I always draw my cartoon characters on flash. What i do to achieve that toning is i draw with the pencil tool the seperate shading areas and then simply fill. Its amazing what a difference this makes in comparison to just one shade of colour. It can make the drawing look more 3 dimensional. Welcome to my space! My new msn name.
