DITZEL|ARCH670|UMD

Tuesday, May 19, 2009. This is the first in the series of animations from EIAS Animator, that I used in the creation of the final video. Monday, May 18, 2009. Creation Of A Surface from the Diagram. This is the first attempt at a surface creation from the diagram created of still frames. The surface is too jagged, another rendition with smoother deformations may possibly be the type of surface I am attempting to create. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). DITZEL|ARCH670|UMD: Screen Shot Diagrams

http://ditzel670umd.blogspot.com/2009/05/screen-shot-diagrams.html

Monday, May 18, 2009. This was the beginnings of a diagrammatic analysis of image screen shots taken every 2 seconds of the film. Initially I arranged these images horizontally, but once I oriented them vertically the story was able to be understood in columns as the the story of the film. Once arranged I began circling the pattern of the camera's relationship inside to outside the circle. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Creation Of A Surface from the Diagram. Saturday, March 28, 2009. Pattern Discovery in the Tile Print. Monday, March 23, 2009. The Third Tile Attempt. In the previous model, I had achieved my goal of intersecting pieces creating a porous tile in which one may see different patterns at different angles as a result of the intersecting geometries. But ulitmately the model was too complex, I was having difficulty selecting different pieces and completely controlling the pattern. This is an image of the bottom of the tile. Although in the final mod...

DITZEL|ARCH670|UMD: Circles in Frames

http://ditzel670umd.blogspot.com/2009/05/circles-in-frames.html

Monday, May 18, 2009. I connected the horizontals and verticals of the centers to attempt to trace the movement further. Ultimately this image has begun to look like a possible surface. My next step will be to bring this into a modeling program to create a surface from the lines and points created by their intersections. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Will they want to keep it around for a long time? Why can't they just say "i like it! October 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Hello hapi blogging. have a nice day! March 2, 2010 at 11:30 PM. CANON|ARCH670|UMD: horizontal still frame diagram

http://canon670umd.blogspot.com/2009/05/horizontal-still-frame-diagram.html

Horizontal still frame diagram. Turning the still frame diagram horizontal (90 degrees counterclockwise) we have more of a temporal representation of the scene. the scene stills were taken every 2.5 seconds which is shown at the top. And by markers at the bottom as well. This is similar to OMA's flag for the european union, which they created by combining the colors of all the EU countries flags. it is also a sort of bar code that brands this group of countries. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Photos of my Tile -Final Constructs. In this iteration of the tile I wanted to take the rotational form of the original tile and extend it in the z direction in order to capture more space. I felt the first tile was somewhat flat in its physical construct. Monday, March 2, 2009. This is one of my previous attempts. Here is a second version of the matrix study. In this attempt I took two different portions of the hood bumper area and played with reversing the direction of the curve.

ARNOLD|670|UMD: April 2009

http://arnold670umd.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 21, 2009. These are a series of process images that illustrate the direction I'm headed. All allude to the potential of the artifact, seen at the top right of each image in perspective. The third frame illustrates the "hulls" of the line, which could in itself become an interesting diagram for the final sequence. It further abstracts the line I created with control vertices. Something I've been wrestling with is how should these new diagrams function? Monday, April 20, 2009. I focused (mos...

Tuesday, February 24, 2009. This series is the result of a second 03 x 06 matrical study. Each row went through a single (either scale or shear) deformation in a single direction. Surfaces in the final row were rotated 30 degrees and scaled on the y-axis. For this analysis, the transformations have occurred surficially without separating and manipulating the components (vertices, faces) of the original. Monday, February 23, 2009.
