The grand and the simple. They are equally wonderful. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Darren is 32 yrs old. I remember when I had him, I was 30, seems impossible that he could be that old. Here he is with Lindsay, and his two cute little girls. Look at that face. He was really cute! Darren loved to go camping with his Dad and went on many scout hikes. He had his own tent and could put it up by himself when he was 8 yrs old. He has always loved sports. This is Dale Murphy, his favorite when he was young.

Where does the time go? 160;Friday, May 14, 2010. I can not believe he is leaving my side. I can hardly stand it. Kindergarden is no big deal. Once they go to school all day I feel like I have lost them in a way that will never be the same. I can't even sleep at night. It just breaks my heart. I have tears is my eyes just writing about it. He was a little taken back and said, "no you don't, I just did it on Saturday? He was feeling pretty good about cleaning the house and doing the laundry while I was gone. 160;Wednesday, May 19, 2010. I was fine all day until my sweet girls surprised me. They have been practicing this. Song for a while each time I would leave the home. Especially Grandma and Grandpa. 7500 miles
So teach us to number our days. That we may get a heart of wisdom. 2017 was a hard year. A good year, too, but also a year of learning a new normal- or maybe better explained as a year of realizing that normal will never look the way it once did. But I can trust God with that. And I'm learning that in every area where there's the sting of grief and loss, I can trust God with that, too. Because it's been so long since I've posted an update, here are some pictures of our family from the past several months.
