Our adoption journey
7500 miles: May 24
http://donandsarajones.blogspot.com/2015/05/may-24.html
And occasionally I'd waddle down to the "snack room" to open up the ice chest and get some cool air. But that's another story for probably, well. never. I have a few, very few, quiet minutes right now so here's big picture update of our sweet boys. This was a cool rainy day that I let the twins bundle up a little to jump in puddles and Luke watched them the entire time, while pounding on the door (his way of pleading to get out and join them). And these next pictures. what can I say? Fun with their frien...
7500 miles: Sweet Boys
http://donandsarajones.blogspot.com/2015/02/sweet-boys.html
Sometimes I just want to freeze them. I want to capture their little snuggles and little voices and remember this stage forever. Or that when they go to Sunday school and the teachers ask what they'd like to sing, they opt for "Tis So Sweet" instead of the traditional "Jesus Loves Me" that most 3 year olds are requesting. Or that they often say things like, "What if God and Jesus picked up that big tree" or "that big house"- or anything they perceive as impossible. There's so much more that I just want t...
7500 miles: February 2014
http://donandsarajones.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
There's been a lot going on in our house over the past months, and while most of you probably know from Facebook, this is our official family blog and it feels right to update it. Also, it's the only place that I ever record anything significant, despite my good intentions to journal and record important milestones for our children. Sorry boys and future babies, I'm doing the best I can. So, what's new? Well, the biggest news is that we're expecting our first biological baby in June (and it's another boy!

Snyderville: Hazel quotes
http://nhsnyderville.blogspot.com/2014/10/hazel-quotes.html
Thursday, October 16, 2014. August 2013: I told Hazel that I needed to figure out where the library was before we left. She said, "Maybe at Seattle." When Noel got home from work, I told the kids to tell him where we went (the library) and they both said, "Seattle! I have no idea why they think the library is in Seattle. Hazel walked out of the bathroom one day and said, "Hazel looking good.". I asked Hazel if I was cool or weird. She said, "Mommy weird. Hazel cool." And so it begins. She called me out.

Keep up with Jason, Annie, Isabel and Lucy here! Friday, August 16, 2013. A (slightly lame) ode to my husband. You make me coffee in the morning. You often pass gas without warning. You workout with me and keep me going. You cut the grass when it is growing. You love football (especially the Illini). You are a tall, dark handsome guy. You tickle and wrestle with Lucy and Bel. You have an important job, and do it well. You are still the funniest guy I know. Your love you are not afraid to show. Ummm famou...

Welcome
We have had a wonderful time traveling and being with family we thought it would be a good idea to share some of those moments with you. While on our Alaska Caravan We camped at Muncho Lake. A once in a lifetime wonderful experience. Would do it again in a heart beat if I could find the time. The Meritime Trip in 2009 was great with four friends we met on the Alaska Caravan.

So teach us to number our days. That we may get a heart of wisdom. 2017 was a hard year. A good year, too, but also a year of learning a new normal- or maybe better explained as a year of realizing that normal will never look the way it once did. But I can trust God with that. And I'm learning that in every area where there's the sting of grief and loss, I can trust God with that, too. Because it's been so long since I've posted an update, here are some pictures of our family from the past several months.
