Dr Dopey

Sunday, June 17, 2012. Winter camping with the boys. Is it getting foggy? Yep, um the "view" from Snowgum Lookout. And the next day, picture perfect! Beautiful views of the Western Plains with the Grampians in the background. Side trip to the Cave Hill cave, also known as Bukkertillible, which means cave in the local aboriginal dialect. The cave is a massive granite arch around 100 m wide and 15 m high. You can just see Paul in red at the bottom LH corner of the photo. Topped with melting Lindt choc, YUM!

Dr Dopey: RAGBRAI pre ride

http://www.dr-dopey.blogspot.com/2011/07/ragbrai-pre-ride.html

Thursday, July 21, 2011. While me and my lucky suitcase (not lost once yet! Arrived on schedule in Iowa my bike did not, which created a little nervousness given the week long RAGBRAI ride was coming up. But it arrived ok the next day and I was able to reassemble it with only a slightly buckled front wheel. High Trestle Trail bridge. Aunt Joan and Uncle Vern enjoying the view. The steel beam artwork along the bridge represents a coal mine, which was common in this area. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Dr Dopey: On Top of the World

http://www.dr-dopey.blogspot.com/2012/03/on-top-of-world.html

Saturday, March 3, 2012. On Top of the World. Over the last few months we've had a few camping and hiking trips, making the most of summer and discovering some great walks. We've scaled a few peaks along the way, enjoying the isolation and views below. Cathedral Ranges - Razorback Track. Paul and Bonnie taking a breather and admiring the view. Me, Terrie and Bonnie negotiating. The rocky heights of the Razorback. Baby Liam's first mountain top climb (thanks Mum and Dad! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Dr Dopey: Images of RAGBRAI

http://www.dr-dopey.blogspot.com/2011/08/sights-of-ragbrai.html

Saturday, August 6, 2011. Typical Iowa countryside - fields of corn and soybean planted in long neat rows. Farmhouses dotted along the road selling water and Gatorade to tired and thirsty riders. Some had waterslides and kiddy pools allowing riders to strip down to their speedos and show off their bike tan (not a good look). Roadside vendors selling sweet corn (above) and pork chop's (below). Lunch stop - hungry riders as far as the eye can see. What's on offer? The End, finally. 717 kms in 7 days.

Tezz & Howls... Summer '11/12: December 2011

http://terrie-and-paul.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Tezz and Howls. Summer 11/12. Saturday, December 31, 2011. Grampians with the C-bomb. We headed out to the Grampians for a quick trip with Jack, Ben and Charlie and Nella and Shane. We fed the wildlife on our porch, but it's wrong to do that :(. Posted by Terrie and Paul. Snow Season 2011 - Day 2 of 2. It was a disappointing snow season but we managed a second day up at Falls, this time with Mum on the X-country skis. Tezz and Mum, tandem x-c. Spent more time stuffing around than snowboarding. The Couper Family: January 2012

http://coupers.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

28 January, 2012. Since returning from Queensland, Melbourne has enjoyed (? Some rather warm weather. We've taken to spending a bit of time at the beach. Here's a selection of pics taken at Seaford Beach over the last week or so. You can see Hamish walking out towards the boat with his body board and Isabella is running along the foreshore towards the jetty! Posted by The Couper Family. 26 January, 2012. The Couper Family: 2012 Melbourne Marathon Festival

http://coupers.blogspot.com/2012/10/2012-melbourne-marathon-festival.html

14 October, 2012. 2012 Melbourne Marathon Festival. Most of you are aware that the Melbourne Marathon Festival has become a ritual for our family each year. This year was no exception and we supported CPEC and the wonderful 'Team Jack'. I upped the anti again and chose to train for my second half marathon. Drew and the kids joined Belinda, Jack and Lucy in the 5.7km walk and Craig completed the 10km event. I felt OK until about the 9km mark and then all I wanted to do was lay down and die.

Tezz & Howls... Summer '11/12: Moving

http://terrie-and-paul.blogspot.com/2012/06/moving.html

Tezz and Howls. Summer 11/12. Sunday, June 3, 2012. Despite what it looks like we were not setting up a meth lab in our kitchen. Tezz cleaning the oven as we pack up and clean to move house. Howls cleaning the concrete - how good are pressure hoses! This post is a reminder to ourselves that moving house is no fun at all and we should avoid it. Posted by Terrie and Paul. Tezz & Howls... Summer '11/12: Qld Butterflies, Pets and Reptiles

http://terrie-and-paul.blogspot.com/2012/04/qld-butterflies-pets-and-reptiles.html

Tezz and Howls. Summer 11/12. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Qld Butterflies, Pets and Reptiles. After about 120 photos, this is the best Howls could get of the Ulysses Butterfly. Despite all the amazing wildlife, Helen and John's Maxi was the star of animal energy and entertainment. Knuckle's "please scratch me" look, it's permanent. The python near Ethyl's chook pen. It had 2 bulges in it, probably rats or bandicoots (hopefully not chicks). Adam and Tanya's local pet, the prematurely named "Lick-Lick" the.

http://terrie-and-paul.blogspot.com/2012/04/queensland-water.html

Tezz and Howls. Summer 11/12. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Wallaman Falls are the highest single drop falls in Australia at 268m and look and sound spectacular. This photo was taken under the moonlight ( 5min exposure). Queensland weather finally lived up to its reputation with 20min/30max every day. We took full advantage at the local swimming holes - Adam diving at Big Crystal Creek. Tanya on the Big Crystal Creek natural water slide. Tezz showing slightly less control. Tezz and Howls. Summer 11/12. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Hilda's V Guild Cricket Match. It's been about 10 years since Howls last picked up a cricket bat, but he got the call-up to play for Hildas '94 Vs The Guild Cricket Team. At the very picturesque Willows cricket ground near Daylesford. Talking tactics before the game started: "So how seriously do we take this? Are we having a go? I think we're sledging . Yeh we're definitely sledging . Ok we're sledging". Dave takes his first of 2. Ultimately Hildas s...

Tezz and Howls. Summer 11/12. Sunday, April 22, 2012. Warning: Contains not much more than repetitious failure. GPS tracking was switched on during these attempts. The uphill of Stonefly is hard enough without this. How good is it to see the hut, for just about any trip (Tezz). Tezz through the fire effected snow gums. Posted by Terrie and Paul. http://terrie-and-paul.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Tezz and Howls. Summer 11/12. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Falls Creek between the Slack and Back-country. Snow season is back! Over 60cm fell over the week and we headed up to Mum's and Dad's place at Mt Beauty to earn some turns in the Falls Creek backcountry. Although it was only just 'backcountry' (just 300m from the toboggan slope), it qualified on two fronts: 1) it didn't cost $106 each for lift tickets; 2) fresh tracks. The turn that made the track, nose up in the powder. Tezz, avoiding the creek.

I am going back to school in the fall which I think will help me out a lot. And last, and most certainly not least, I am very much in love with my girlfriend. To whom it may concern. My is...
