July 3, 2015. July 3, 2015. Home Learning – 2.7.15. This week we would like you to practise your times tables. Here is a guide for what you should already know and what to practise next. First you need to know your 2, 5, and 10 x tables. If you know these by heart then you can practise your 3 and 4 x tables. If you can do these can you do your 20, 50, 100 and 40 x table? Choose the times table that you need to practise. There are lots of different ways you can practise your times tables for example.

March 18, 2015. April 17, 2015. We have been carefully observing grotesques and through our art work we have been reproducing them through different mediums. To begin with we explored light and shadows using charcoal and then applied our new shading techniques to produce our own grotesques. Finally we used our new skills to sculpt our very own grotesques. Giving you a flavour of life in 3S. 3S Evacuation to Kent Countryside. 3S started their “Dig for Victory” WW2 topic by being evacuated to Horton Kirby. In the time there, the evacuated children were billeted with new families, experienced an “air-raid”, took cover in the playground shelter and played a variety of outdoor games which were popular during the Second World War. As an end to our term, and topic, 4A shared their versions of ‘The Very Unhealthy Caterpillar’, based on the Eric Carle classic, with Nursery children this afternoon. We all had a very pleasant story sharing session – the children really enjoyed sharing their work with the youngest members of our school. A very nice way to end the topic.
