Monday, August 24, 2015. It seems that in my adult life, nothing has ever gone according to plan. Or even remotely according to how I foresee it going. And if something does go according to plan, it's never without major hiccups. I'm not complaining at all. I have learned to ride the coaster fairly well. It is celebrated on this day because people with Down Syndrome have an extra copy of the 21st chromosome. So they have three copies of chromosome 21, instead of two. So 3-21. Last night we stayed up late making matching T-Shirts for the kids. These are their rock star looks). Raising a child with Down Syndrome is challenging. But it is so worth all of the incredible blessings. That come along with it.

Wednesday, March 28, 2012. When I get homesick I always make my mom's Tortilla Soup, it ALWAYS hits the spot! I did not have all the ingredients it called for so I combined what I had from Mom's and added a little from this one. I found on Pinterest. And then added my own touch! Here yall go: Homesick Tortilla Soup! 1 cup of frozen onion. 2 Tablespoon of minced garlic. 4-5 Dashes of Tabasco Sauce. 1-2 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. 1 can of Rotel: Mild. 1 can of Cream of Tomato. 1 can of corn.

Friday, December 7, 2012. And it saves ME time in making the bed and cleaning the sheets! SO I now have a STACK of flat sheets that have never been used! I use one to cover the box mattress and the rest just sit in the closet! My friend Ashleigh uses towels when working with messy crafts and after seeing her pics it clicked! I can use these flat sheets for messy crafts. TODAY I finally remembered to pull them out so they boys could play with play dough during independent play! And the sheets worked great!

On August 29th this cutie pie will be taken through the gates of the orphanage and he will join his forever family! The plane tickets are booked and everything is ready for him to come home. I even have a stash of donated breast milk for him in the deep freezer. I have enough diapers to last six months at least! Goofing around with Auntie Sara. Nap time with mommy on the beach. On August 10th he gets his cast off!
