Kia-Ora from Elder & Sister Perron

Kia-Ora from Elder and Sister Perron. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. FINDING JOY IN SERVICE. Today is a national holiday – the Queen’s Birthday! It is not her actual birthday but this is the designated day set aside to honour her. Four of us senior missionary couples – Perron, Brereton, Wallace, and Fugal – took advantage of the holiday to travel north to the Puhoi Café and Cheese Factory for lunch and then to travel south to visit the Wood Carver. This is the last week of Institute classes before semester break.

Kia-Ora from Elder & Sister Perron: June 2014

http://www.elderandsisterperron.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Kia-Ora from Elder and Sister Perron. Friday, June 27, 2014. Busy, Busy and Even Busier! This mission is the most wonderful experience. What a great companion I have. Is in love with her and she is running – like in anxiously engaged – faster than I could have ever imagined. These past two weeks have been even busier. Than our usually busy weeks and I would have said that is impossible except I have just lived it. Not the most influential. Friday, June 13. Was our first real night out. As a result of the...

Kia-Ora from Elder and Sister Perron. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. A Zone Conference, A Stake Conference and Ping Pong. Just when you think you have experienced one of the most spiritual weeks ever you find it just keeps getting better! As always, when you are in the service of your Lord, you seem to be the one that grows the most. Holidays are over and school and institutes are back at full speed! It seems if we are not teaching we are studying and preparing a lesson or a talk. The weekend of May 3. Her mothe...

Kia-Ora from Elder and Sister Perron. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. What A Wonderful Mission! What a great country. Is – it is a very Christian country - we enjoy it so much. We have just completed the four-day Easter weekend which many say is an even bigger holiday down here than Christmas. Friday and Monday are government recognized holidays, all the stores are closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, and Monday a holiday is referred to as Easter Monday, so the people enjoy a four day weekend. The museum ...

Serving in South Africa

Serving in South Africa. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Out of Africa – Aug 28, 2011. It was wonderful to plant a vegetable garden for the home, especially since I was not able to plant a garden which I love before I left for my mission. All the Elders and church members pitch in to dig the garden and expand the plot. It had lots of roots of grass that we had to remove. Sister Nichols got down on our hands and knees to accomplish the work. Painting the mural was exciting as it developed. In time all t...
