Another Diet Dish – But Good | From Nona With Love
https://fromnonawithlove.wordpress.com/2012/12/16/another-diet-dish-but-good
From Nona With Love. Cooking advice, recipes, scratch cooking and cooking tips. Another Diet Dish – But Good. December 16, 2012. With Bear on a diet, I really have to work to find meals to stay in his guidelines that we can both eat. This chicken dish is done in a slow cooker with salsa on top which I shredded when done and used for tacos. Bear found non gluten flour type tortillas. He was excited to have a change and any Mexican type food. This recipe I got from the Advocare 24 Day Challenge Cookbook.

From Nona With Love. Cooking advice, recipes, scratch cooking and cooking tips. Home grown tomatoes- right up to January. Check out the tomatoes I had in January 2009. In 2008, we had a bumper crop and these were in my kitchen window to ripen. They were soooo good. Living in south Texas has its advantages. I got side tracked 18 months ago with getting a double lung transplant. I thought I would blog about the process and fill the world in about my experience. Not! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Overnight oatmeal in a jar. September 13, 2013 at 4:54 pm ( Experimental Kitchen. I have tried multiple recipes for those little hats of oatmeal that you leave in the fridge over night. After much trial and error I pin pointed to what IMO is the perfect overnight oatmeal. 1 of the 6/7 oz containers of Greek yogurt (plain or fruity). 1/4 cup rolled oats. 1/4 cup of a liquid (water, milk, almond milk, soy milk, etc can be flavored chai, vanilla or chocolate whatever floats your boat! The season ends… for me anyway…. October 29, 2013 at 11:06 am ( Gardening. As the title of my blog reads… yep… that’s how it is. I had wanted to start a winter garden but unfortunately there has just been too much going on in the last 3 months for me to start it😦. Trial and error, it’s how we learn. Looking forward to planning for next year. Can’t beat that! I am planning to freeze the best ones for apple pies and then load up again to make and can applesauce. Not only will we have a big of his grandpar...
It is hot hot hot! | nantahala

It is hot hot hot! September 13, 2013 at 4:36 pm ( Gardening. It has been hot and no real promises of rain are insight. My plants in my flower beds wilt by the late afternoon. I want to start carrots and broccoli but I’m afraid with this dry heat that they won’t even sprout. Most of the garden is done for the season, except my pepper plants. Green beans are really in bloom but I feel they just aren’t as strong as they were last year. On the plus side grass has slowed in growth haha! October 29, 2013.

I was hungry for lunch and had nothing ready to eat, so I put this together using ingredients we had on hand. 2-3 Tbsp. Olive Oil. 1/2 large onion, chopped. 3-4 cloves garlic, minced (more or less to taste). Celery, 3-4 stalks chopped including leaves (I used several inner stalks). 1 to 1-1/2 lbs. ground turkey. Grated fresh Parmesan cheese.

Sunday, January 11, 2015. Links to this post. Saturday, January 25, 2014. Trying to make grandma's yeast biscuits just like I remember! I think grandma really didn't measure her ingredients and it had to do something with her well water or maybe you can't duplicate treasured memories. Here are pictures from my latest try to recreate her biscuits. I do love this recipe because you don't have to wait for the biscuits to rise to cook them. I floured a pastry cloth to work the dough on. Links to this post.
