The Family Recipe Box. Generations of Family Favorites. Chocolate Drizzled Cherry Bars. Chunky Hearty Three-Bean Soup →. Rita’s Famous Cheeseball. November 21, 2011. Rita’s famous cheeseball recipe. I’ve heard about it… they’ve raved about… and at last, here it is — Rita’s Famous Cheeseball! 1 lb shredded cheddar, however sharp you like it. 2 oz blue cheese. 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. 1 Tablespoon finely chopped onion. 1 cup walnuts, chopped. 1/2 tsp. paprika. Dig in, and enjoy! This is where I ...

The Family Recipe Box. Generations of Family Favorites. Rita’s Famous Cheeseball. Pasta e Fagioli with Turkey →. Chunky Hearty Three-Bean Soup. November 22, 2011. This is our new favorite soup, perfect for these cool autumn days. The original recipe, titled “Recipe for Health: Hearty Three-Bean Soup”, was printed in a magazine we receive from a local hospital. True to its name, it is very hearty, full of flavor, and chunky with lots of the good stuff! 2-3 Tbsp. Olive oil. 1 medium onion, chopped. Add zuc...

The Family Recipe Box. Generations of Family Favorites. Chunky Hearty Three-Bean Soup. Sweet Potato Casserole →. Pasta e Fagioli with Turkey. July 8, 2012. There’s nothing like a bowl of piping hot soup on a hot summer day! 🙂 I was hungry for lunch and had nothing ready to eat, so I put this together using ingredients we had on hand. 2-3 Tbsp. Olive Oil. 1/2 large onion, chopped. 3-4 cloves garlic, minced (more or less to taste). Celery, 3-4 stalks chopped including leaves (I used several inner stalks).

My First Scarf | Knitting Jenny

https://knittingjenny.wordpress.com/2008/01/05/my-first-scarf

Since I began knitting in October ’07, and winter was approaching, I chose to focus on Scarves for my first knitting projects. I want one to match every outfit…. except summer outfits, of course. I’d choose them as I would jewelry or purses or shoes. And they make great gifts — I mean, who doesn’t love a scarf? For my first scarf, I chose a super bulky yarn and a narrow width for a quick ‘n easy project. Lion Brand Jiffy Thick and Quick ‘Green Mountains’, approx. 1-1/2 skeins of 84 yds ea. Hubby’s Big Manly-Man Scarf | Knitting Jenny

https://knittingjenny.wordpress.com/2008/01/05/hubbys-big-thick-manly-man-scarf

Hubby’s Big Manly-Man Scarf. My second scarf was for Hubby who wanted something wide, long, and manly. Again I wanted something that would knit up rather quickly, and he wanted a neutral color, so for this project I chose a very bulky off-white yarn and a very attractive rib pattern. Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick ‘Wheat’ (3 balls, 108 yds. ea.). Twin Rib is worked on a multiple of 6 sts. 3. Row 1: *K3, P3, repeat from * to last 3 sts., K3. Grandmother’s Favorite Dishcloth | Knitting Jenny

https://knittingjenny.wordpress.com/2008/01/05/grandmothers-favorite

Grandmother’s Favorite Dishcloth. My first dishcloth was the seemingly infamous Grandmother’s Favorite Dishcloth. I wanted something quick on which to learn a new stitch (in this case, yarn over. Being new to knitting, I had no idea what would evolve from a cast-on of only 4 stitches and a yarn-over at the end of each row. But soon I began to see the pattern emerge. Now it is one of my favorites too. The pattern is easily found through Google, but I used the pattern I found here. Or Sugar ‘n Cream. I hav...

Resources for 50 Riders. Jim 'n Jen on Bikes. We ride for fun, fitness… and food! Back in the Saddle Again. April 26, 2008 by Jen. So, today was the first day back on the bikes… not just a ride to clear our heads, but a ride with a purpose. This week we registered for the City of Angels Fun Ride. It was a nice ride and we stopped to refill our water bottles at our favorite ice cream shop in Claremont, Bert and Rocky’s. Hmmm… I bet they are wise to that. Not funny ha-ha… funny “what was THAT? Sunday, January 11, 2015. Links to this post. Saturday, January 25, 2014. Trying to make grandma's yeast biscuits just like I remember! I think grandma really didn't measure her ingredients and it had to do something with her well water or maybe you can't duplicate treasured memories. Here are pictures from my latest try to recreate her biscuits. I do love this recipe because you don't have to wait for the biscuits to rise to cook them. I floured a pastry cloth to work the dough on. Links to this post.

Family Recipes

Our kids, who are no longer living at home, wanted our family's favorite recipes. This collection comes from our extended family members and of course, the Mom. Thursday, September 7, 2017. This recipe came to me by way of my Texas born husband. Pecan trees grow on his family's property and when life gives you pecans, make Pecan Pie! This recipe has become a favorite because it's not super sweet, and it's loaded with pecans instead of sugary filling! 1 cup dark corn syrup. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. I hav...
