J Meetze Studio/Common Threads. Where my art and fiber come together. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. 2015 Tapestry Half Full. Here is 2015 at the end of June. The year is half full and weaving its way through the Summer. I probably should have written a blog post right after the Fiberworks opening at Living Arts Gallery in Tulsa, Ok but honestly I think I was a little overwhelmed at that time. It was pretty exciting for both of my entered tapestries to win awards and a Facebook post was all I could manage.

Recently I visited Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) for a workshop, lectures and exhibit of tapestries by Archie Brennan and Susan Martin Maffei. I've been enjoying the palette which is so different from last year, the concept of the path has been interesting to work with and the technique study from the Threads Course in Tapestry by Mette Lise Rossing continues to be inspiring.
