I like to make fun of her with lavender things because I once added some lavender to french toast and she said, “mmm… this is delicious, it reminds me of my bath water.” I hope you’re not drinking your bath water Rachel. Thursday, October 4, 2012. The other week we went to the apple orchard and picked some delicious Jonagold apples for canning applesauce. We went to a local apple farm Beilke Family Farm. And picked 2 buckets worth, about 44 pounds of apples. They charge $9 a bucket and each bucket holds about 22 pounds.that is $.41 a pound people! Doesn't get much better than that. Damian got a big boy bike! I have been wanting to do rain barrels for my garden since we moved in. Finally got them completed! They are still a work in progress-but I couldn't be happier. Monday, February 10, 2014. We finally got hit with some of this Winter Blast that has been going around and I couldn't have been happier! I love the snow, though I suppose if we got it all the time I wouldn't be so thrilled about it. In total we got about 15 inches and then a layer of ice on top of that. Damian had a blast playing in it and every morning he would wake up and ask me if it was still here. Yep it is still here! Nani and Grandpa came over to play in it before the roads got too nasty.

I have been pushing back against the acquiring of a sandbox for quite some time, but finally gave in. I am very glad I did as Damian absolutely loves his new sandbox.
